Picked Boros,Deck wasn't great and had quite a few good Orzov cards including ghost council but i did open 3 Boros Guildgates and 1 Sacred Foundry. So i played BWr. My deck was very grindy and i started off 3-1, then lost to someone curving out perfectly and someone play 3 of the 1WB guy with Extort. Went 4-3 for 3 packs stayed up for 29.5 hours. Not Quite sure if it was correct. __________________

Bah! I couldnt go due to finances. But sooo wanted to. and whats up with no one getting any high preist of penance? sheesh. $2.50 card and no one has any from the releases. Sigh.__________________

I wanted to play Simic, but my son got the last Simic pack. I ended up playing Boros, and I got some nice Boros rares out of the packs -- Firemane Angel, Angelic Skrimisher and Sacred Foundry. I ended up 4-2, with one round of very close loses against Simic, and then horrendous draws versus Dimir. I won three packs and got an Aurelia out of it.I ended up pulling a foil Prime Speaker Zegana from my initial packs, though I didn't play it. My first round opponent pulled a foil Prime Speaker Zegana as well, and I met one more person that also pulled a foil Prime Speaker Zegana. I didn't hear of anyone that opened a regular one, but out of 60 people there were at least three foils. I traded my Aurelia for the foil Zegana from my first round opponent.

I went 3-1 with Boros, splashing green for Gruul Ragebeast and a few creatures (thanks to a Stomping Grounds and Gruul Guildgate helping fix my mana). Also had a Firemane Avenger and Gideon in the deck.I lost to the mirror and beat 2x Simic/1x Orzhov decks. Ragebeast was awesome every time he hit play. Gideon was meh, other than causing an opponent to blow a Merciless Eviction to remove him. __________________

I went 3-1 with Gruul:Mugging Disciple of the Old Ways, Greenside Watcher, Truefire Paladin, Martial Glory, Ground Assault, Pit Fight Miming Slime, Slaughterhorn, Massive Raid, Basilica Guards x3 Ivy Lane Denizen, Ghor-Clan Rampager, Rubblebelt Raiders Towering Thunderfist Ruination Wurm, Rubblehulk, Urbist Protector, Foundry Champion Borborygmos Enraged I got Miming Slime up to a 9/9 (pump Foundry Champion to a 9/4), Rubblebelt Raiders had 5 counters in one match, I Extorted 7 life, and Borborygmos won me both games in my final match. Pit Fight was amazing, stopping all kinds of combat tricks, especially Bloodrush. When I was at 2 life (my opponent was at 13), I had only two creatures and my opponent attacked with three creatures with power at least two and I survived and came back to win - Pit Fight took down his Rubblebelt Raiders, a mountain took down his 2/2 via Borborygmos, and I chumped his last creatures, then on my turn, attack with Borborygmos, and got two lands in the top three cards revealed to deal the last 6 points of damage. My store was giving us $4 (store credit) per packs, so I took my winnings in store credit to use for future tournaments.

Went 4-1 With Simichad 2 Simic Fluxmage, 2 Simic Manipulator, 2 Shambleshark, 3 bioshift, and a giant adafage.........got 17 packs for 3rd pulled 2 Aurelia, 2 Ghost Council, 3 Breeding Pool, 2 Godless Shrine, 1 Prime Speaker, Gideon, and Domri Rade lol

Picked Boros and splashed green. I didn't get even 1 "bomb" rare, but i had awesome common and uncommons. Holy Mantle is NUTS!. I went 5-0 and took 1st place out of 66 people. All the guilds were represented in the top 8, but there were 3 Boros decks. It was an awesome time, a ton of fun, and the first time i have ever won a tournament with that many people!

I played Orzhov to a 4-3 record. My removal was 3 smite and 2 Executioner's Swing. But extort is ridiculous. It kept me in games I had no business being in and outright won me games that otherwise would have stalled.I lost to a Boros guy that ended up in second place, and a Simic guy with a nut Simic deck (remember, no good removal), and lost to a Boros/g guy because of Battlefield Medic, and his Gruul fatties. I beat a mirror that had real removal because I traded his extort guys for my non-extort guys. I also beat Simic twice because their pools were nowhere near good enough, like no 1 drop evolve dudes. My other win was against Gruul because I was able to outlast him blood rushing dudes. Not bad overall. There were 76 people, the largest event I've ever ran. It went much smoother than it could have. I'm almost getting efficient at this, even though it was the first tourney I ran since the M13 prerelease. __________________

Tried to play. Called ahead multiple times and was assured there were lots of spots. Showed up with four friends to find there were two spots that hadn't already been reserved as of the day before (before I called). I'm not surprised that store is closing in a month.

4-1 with Boros. Didn't open anything too noteworthy to include in the deck. Splashed some G for a few bloodrush dudes. Won a handful of games with my back to the all no creatures on the board staring down lethal and then played Skullcrack + Boros Charm to burn out my opponents.All my matches were very close. Bummed I never played against anything other than R/W/G all day though. --Evil __________________

Went 2-3 with Orzhov which I decided to play while in line, when I heard Boros was all gone.My deck was ok. I didn't have mych flying or removal, which proved my undoing. Plus 2 games I was flooded with so much mana (41 card deck, 18 lands); 1x Treasury Thrull

I was planning to play today (still am) but went yesterday because it turned out I had that option. Played Orzhov, deck was sick. Extort was ridiculous, I won many games at over 20 life. Also opened foil Obzedat, which won some games singlehandedly. I went 4-1 for 2nd out of 18, got a total of 4 shocklands between sealed deck packs and prize packs, and sold the Obzedat for $55 on the ebay. Going to try out Boros today.I played against Dimir, Dimir, Boros splashing Orzhov, Boros, and Boros splashing Orzhov. My loss was to the straight Boros deck.

Went 3-1 early on a Simic deck that was out aggroing Boros. Seriously.Then go 2-2 with a nuts Boros deck due to land/mulligan issues. 4x Skyknight Legionaire and that wasn't even the best part. __________________

I played Gruul and went 5-1, the 1 match loss being a stupid mistake on my part. Gruul charm single handedly one me two games. I took second, though I could have stayed for another couple of hours to try and take first, but it was 6 am and we started at midnight. 30 people there and I swear it seemed like half the people played dimir. The best part of it was in my packs I got for winning I got a foil breeding pool and a ghost dad. Lots of fun!

Going with a good buddy later today. He's running Simic, expecting to play RUG. I'm excited by the possibilities of splashing blue with orzhov; free extort triggers with cipher seems good (especially if the cipher is something defensive like hands of binding), and agoraphobia which I pray I open is absolutely perfect for orzhov. A moveable defensive spell that can be an extort enabler in a pinch in top deck mode.

Chose Orhzov. Opened some odd removal but mostly lacked creatures other than weenies in WB and R, I did get 2 Stolen Identities but not a whole lot else in blue and I opened the Gruul mythic. Won first round, lost second round to 2/2 Boros pump knight, beat a deck third round, lost to a simic deck that was very baller that had the mythic dude and the prerelease dude out at the same time. Decided to have fun and play my bug ass mythic Gruul plus my stolen identies and managed to win the remaining 3 games in a very ugly fashion. Stolen Identity copying Foundry Champion on Borboros Enraged to get two Foundry champions made my opponent scoop.Lot of fun, just had a lack of 3-4 drops __________________

3 and 1 with Boros for my guild and mixed it with Orzhov. Opening 3 Devour Flesh automatically put me into black for a 3rd color. Rares were 2 Foundry Champion, 1 prerelease and one opened from another pack, 1 Deathpact Angel, 1 Frontline Medic from my guild pack, 1 Spark Trooper all were in the deck and then a Skarrg Goliath and a Soul Ransom that I couldn't play. My 3 round wins were all 2 wins 0 losses and my 1 round loss was 1 win 2 losses. 76 people played at my LGS yesterday. First place with best win loss ratio in addition to pack prize also got a $50 gift certificate to the store and 5 other top players also got $25 gift certificates.

I Played orzhov and did pretty well, didn't need to splash for anything. went 4-0 and didn't have much removal or bombs, this is what I played:

LGS held 3. Friday at midnight, 2HG Saturday, normal today.
Roommate and i went today, they had run out of guild packs. Our choices were 2 Gruul and 12 Simic available. We stayed for an hour, did some trading, and came home. Saved $25 each.__________________

Went Boros twice, 2-3 1st flight 3-1 secondEnded up with both PW'ers, Foil Watery Grave, A Stomping Grounds and Sacred Foundry, Foil Vindicate High Priest dude, traded for a Foil Cavern of Souls, and got like 4-5 of the 3-5$ rares All in All a nice Pre-release. __________________
