But your situation isn't applicable. I am talking about traditional male-female relationships. I am not familiar with homosexual unions, but I feel like one partner would take the traditional female role and the other as the male role whether it's a male-male relationship or female-female relationship. In your case you assumed the female role for the household choirs and your "wife" has taken on role as the provider. In homosexual relationships, I am sure the gender roles are a lot less clear and have a bigger overlap than a male-female one
