0ish, but I'll do prereleases/other sealed and stuff now and again, so if you include that, and random impulse buys of a couple packs a year, maybe 20-30 packs a year?

I used to provide singles to the new LGS and they gave me free boosters + I could buy at cost (roughtly 2.35$/booster). I had like 1 box per month and bought 45-50 boosters per month only to sell the garbage to collectors while keeping the staples.Since I stopped supplying them (they got a lot bigger because of me ) I bought maybe 6 packs at retail and gringed :P I prefer buying singles on MOTL.

I pretty much only buy them when drafting, I use to buy boxes a long time ago but realized it just wasn't worth it unless using the packs to draft with friends.

0 to 12 packs per set. Cept Gatecrash, imo, the set sucks. 12 packs of RTR (wanted enemy colorered guildgates.)__________________ 30th in refs on Motl! #1 Ref's for Arizona! I built a cube-like pool of cards for our ante league out of my overstock, even included some rares in it. It works pretty well and due to the singleton nature of the cube it is replayable, unlike sealed leagues that use boosters to fill the pool where multiple copies of cards can lead to repetitive gameplay.

Around 135 boosters in the last year, not including boxes, winnings, prereleases, or the handful of random boosters I've picked for the gambling drafts my friends and I do on occasion.Usually my LGS FNMs consist of a few weeks of draft after a new set comes out and then we move to constructed, but lately draft has become so popular that it's been nothing but draft every week, and I rarely miss a FNM. So totaled up, I've probably opened near 300 packs in the last year or so, but only bought about half of them as individual boosters. I've never done the math, and I'm kinda surprised that number is that large... __________________ ლ(ಠ益ಠლ This signature belongs to fedorables. Please return if found.

I buy a booster box worth of cards each Christmas for stocking stuffers and then use the extras for drafts during Christmas break. The only additional boosters that I get beyond that is when I go to a prerelease.

I don't play much ,but I know plenty of people who do, so usually we buy a box or two and draft out of that for a few weekends.

Obviously he either works at a store or is a very wealthy student. Or hasn't updated his occupation. That's about $30,000 at what stores pay for packs. If you make over $100,000 and really really like magic that's not out of the bounds of reality.

For fun - Usually about 9-15 boosters. Closer to 100-200 though, if you include Sealed and draft. This is all per set.

I don't think you would like Magic anymore after the first ten thousand packs.__________________ Always buying misprints. See my list for the best Alternate 4th buy prices in the world (bulk rares $3!) T-Chinese Portal Feral Shadow $8 Legends APs

Since mythic rares came out, I dropped from buying 1-2 boxes of every set down to about 3 boosters of every set. They really killed the collectible aspect for me, to the point where I just buy or trade for tournament singles.

Clearly a dealer, that's only 16 cases per set which is not that large for a dealer. I know a dealer who is pretty small fry and he opened 12 cases of GTC and 20+ of RTR. As for me, I tend to play 1-2 PR's per set and open the 10-36 boosters I win during the year at things so I guess I open 50-100 boosters per year? __________________ Adrian Proudly not Hansolo's Sweetchecks Former DCI Level 2 Judge (Retired)

I was buying about a box worth of various boosters a month before I took a break from MTG. Getting back into it now though!
