I was curious if anyone had a sense for how many copies there are of certain cards on Magic Online. It seems like there are never more than a few thousand people online at any given time based on how infrequently some of the Constructed Queues fill up, which means that there can't be that many copies of rares, mythics, and "ultra rares" like LED and FoW. What do you guys think? I was thinking about this in terms of someone cornering the market on playable cards, such as: Lion's Eye Diamond Force of Will Zendikar fetchlands (for Modern) Liliana of the Veil Cryptic Command (assuming no MM reprint) For example, do you think there are 1k of each Zendikar fetchland, or 10k, or 100k? Thoughts? -Mark

There's infinite fetches, lilianas and commands. Force was impossible to pull. LED, too. It's not like a Mirage draft ever launched when it was on sale. Mirage packs used to be like 1.5 tix.

This ^ They did add a few more FOW's to the card pool when they did the MED1-4 4 pack sealed a few months ago...but not many. Those were dreadful to do as well.

So is my assumption of only a few thousand MTGO users not accurate? If there are infinite Zendikar fetches, for example, then that would imply there are a ton of MTGO users. Or at least as many Modern players as there were players when Zendikar was being opened in Standard. Do you think there are 10k MTGO users, 100k, 1 million, etc.?Is it even possible to get this kind of information? -Mark __________________ 3rd most references in Kentucky; 3rd most posts in KentuckyBlackborder.com Grading Guide

I doubt such information would be released to prevent speculating.
