How do you guys keep track of your collections?I have something like 30K cards and am planning on getting another 20K card collection from a buddy. A lot of this stuff is worth money, not much, but 50 cent cards definitely add up. I want to sort through them and be able to track my inventory, so that I can make an accurate trade/sale list. It also needs to be searchable so that I can figure out what cards I need when I'm deckbuilding and such. I don't really want to use an online program, and I don't think I want to resort to using excel, though that would probably be an easy way to do it. How do you guys with huge collections keep your inventory current??

Magic Suitcase has worked great for that purpose for me. Some of the newer card types get a little tricky as the base program hasn't been changed in a long time, but it uses Access for a database, so if you have a little SQL knowledge, you can make a few database edits that make it really easy to make your own search queries.__________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. I like mtgstudio. It costs money after 30 days but is constantly updated and the author implements features that users suggest. If you spend time with it, it is actually amazingly good and once registered, you get all the updates moving forward.

Thanks for the info so far - is magicsuitcase still supported? I downloaded it and played around a little, looks like the master file is only current through Zendikar though...is there an updated one somewhere?

There's a Yahoo group that you can join that has the latest files. Mine's set up through Gatecrash, just haven't bothered grabbing Maze's End yet, but they usually have the new sets up before the release date. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me.
