So I've recently acquired a Leyline of Sanctity from a friend of mine, and I was curious as to where it's being used. I realize it's an $11-12 card, and I've asked my friend, his response is "casual and EDH," practically meaning that it's a worthless card and doesn't see play in any real formats. I was wondering if anyone would like to give me their two cents on what formats, decks, etc Leyline is played in, and why it's a $12 card. Thanks!

It is a very popular sideboard card in Legacy / Modern / Vintage Here's a list of it being used over at the SCG decks DB http://preview.tinyurl.com/kxarouy __________________ Adrian Eternal Rules Former DCI Level 2 Judge (Retired)

Its played in all eternal formats as sideboard card against discard decks, usually to protect your combo.

That and "casual and EDH" does not mean it's a useless card, because EDH is ridiculously popular and has driven card prices like crazy. See: Nirkana Revenant, Felidar Sovereign...
