FNM last night TO announced anyone that doesn't ID into top 8 will get to pick from a bunch of random promos for additional prize support. Seems like he was bribing players to play and not draw in. Is that allowed?

It's FNM and he's encouraging people to play and not screw people out of spots. Who cares?

I care that is why I'm asking.

Yes, he can do what he wants. It's not a bribe, it's prize support.

Thanks just what I needed to know. Just seemed weird to announce this right before last round pairings. I've not seen this before and quite a few people were taken back at it. I don't feel bad now playing it out.

Were the promos even good? I'd rather draw in than get like a DGM plains.

Yeah, I've been told no ID at FNM before. So we fake played a match to a draw. If that's how he wants it to go, so be it.

EDIT: Nevermind. I read that wrong. This seems wrong. If he's going to do that, it should've been announced before the event started.

ID is dumb when it bumps people out of prizes if they lose even once. They probably had somebody complain or people stop showing up or something.

Did he define intentional? He seems to be riding a fine line with this. What if you actually did draw? What if you just sat there and faked it?

From my understanding after talking to some people today. If a couple of us didn't play it out. The top 8 was gonna be able to draw in and his "Buddy wasn't getting in." From what I was told same thing happened at game day.edit quote: Originally posted by AGO: Did he define intentional? He seems to be riding a fine line with this. What if you actually did draw? ya he said intentional. Not sure what he would have done if some faked it.
