Oh man. Those artworks are pretty sick; I am WAY excited for this.
I'm just afraid that they'll be a real pain to get a hold of, especially with Jace AOT in there.

Thoughts?

Not a fan of the new art on Jace. Basically Jace in another stance. It seems like Chandra is the only memorable one that gets an "action" shot on the card.

I'll give you that it's a pretty cool Medusa, but Tom Cruise should just leave his hood up.

So now that Jace is the guildpact ... any chance we might not see so darn much of him. I wouldn't mind bringing in a new set of core planeswalkers.

Because no one is going to need one of the most ubiquitous cards in the format for the next 5 months to play standard? The release date is MARCH. Anyone wanting to sell me under-market Jaces can go right ahead.

Hehe, would it be funny if they put Deathrite Shaman in the Vraska deck just for laughs and giggles? Then you will see an even bigger knee-jerk reaction than Jace AoT.

that would be hilarious. One of the local players traded for everyone's Deathrites and has them in a binder LOLOL

Are duel decks more mass produced than other stuff? I'm asking because I honestly don't know (but stuff like Elves vs Goblins and Divine vs Demonic are worth a bunch), but if Deathrites were in the deck (along with the JAOT and Vraska already in there) I don't see the prices dropping so much as I see stores selling these for over MSRP.

The Duel Decks are very much mass-produced. Since the set is only sold as a pair, stores never end up with lots of one side that won't sell. While it is in-print, the online stores are happy to sell for MSRP or less as they can get as much product as they want.

I could take it or leave it on either artwork. I thought the original artwork for Vraska was probably the best they could do.

Stores selling for over MSRP won't happen on this since every Walmart and Target will be selling these as they do with every duel deck.
