1. Card sales/trades. Is this allowed, encouraged, discouraged as a non-vendor? I want to bring my sales binder and dump a lot of cards while I'm there, and not to the vendors either, to other players for max value.

1. trades are fine, sales as a non vendor, to a non vendor is discouraged.. and likely will get you thrown out from the event.
2. how much of the day? sat, player meeting at what.. 9? an hr for deck reg + build, 1:10 on avg for rds.. 9 rds capped for the day.. easily 12 hrs.. if you manage day 2.. about the same time for rds.. of which there are 6.. but 2 called drafts + build/reg, so, about another 9-10 hrs

At least it's nice that a little piece of cardboard can get you out of a jam sometimes. I sold most of my collection the past few years as well sadly. At least I'm still on the cusp of 15 proxy Vintage when I get an itch to go to Vscaville/Berkeley.

I played in the Sealed 2 and Sealed 9 events. I made it to round 3 on the second one, and it was a lot of fun.

One of the judges stated that they had far more registration action than they anticipated, and there were over 2000 players there for the weekend. In fact, some judges who were specifically not asked to work but were there were drafted back into action as a result of the overload.

I heard that Eudemonia (aka MOTL) and other big vendors such as Strikezone and TnT were not at Sacramento because CFB asked for a very high price on vendor booths.
