I've never seen an expansion set that has the same cards as the main block set (life-gaining dual lands).

http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/feature/fetching-look-fate-reforged-2014-12-24 "This is similar to the manner in which Return to Ravnica dual lands were available in Dragon's Maze in the lands slot. In other words, it's entirely possible to open your Fate Reforged packs at a Prerelease and, instead of seeing a basic land or a Jungle Hollow, see this(a fetch) staring back at you:"

Just like dragons maze there will be potential to see 3 rares in a single booster pack if you pull the normal pack rare/mythic, foil rare/mythic, and a non foil fetch land. You still have to buy khans booster packs if you want the foil fetches.

Ahhh, I didn't think that those lands would be treated the same way as the shock lands in Dragon's maze. I think it is a great idea.

Jeez, if they put Zen fetches in like some people are saying, you can get 3 fetches in the same pack.

If it's in the same style as Dragon's Maze, your pack rare/mythic and foil rare/mythic will be from Fate Reforged and then the land slot will be a Khans common cycle non basic land or Khans non foil fetch. I think the chances of pulling a fetch will be less of pulling a shock land in dragon's maze. Dragon's Maze was claimed to be 1 out of 8 packs on average had a shock land. I could see this being at least 1 out of 12 packs for a fetch land.

The odds of a shock in Dragon's Maze was nowhere near 1 in 8. It was more like 1 in 20. In a box you got one or two shocks. I'd expect the same in the upcoming set.

So seeing as how Ugin is here and there is a card with Ugin and Nicol Bolas fighting in the art anybody want to take bets on whether we get a new Bolas planeswalker card, a reprint, or no-print?I'm hoping for a new one.

I'm looking for a good Temur casting planeswalker in this set. On a Sidenote- this card got me excited: Soulfire grand master 1W - 2/2 Lifelink Instants and sorceries you cast have Lifelink. 2 u/r u/r When you cast an instant, put it back in your hand instead

The Soulfire Grand Master looks really cool. I'm wondering the feasability of running him in my U/R Delver Modern deck.

Really there's no room for it. If helix didn't make the cut, I don't think this guy does.

I'm hoping for a new one too, but I'll be happy with a reprint

Is the complete rules text for "manifest" out yet? I couldn't find it.

I normally don't think I'd participate on a discussion thread- but the new demon, is very good.http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2011/7/27/1311763047887/Antonio-Banderas-007.jpg

My guess is graveyard. There will need to be new rules as this isn't currently supported. http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/feature/mechanics-fate-reforged-2014-12-29 "A few older cards turn a face-down creature face up. If you manifest an instant or sorcery card, and one of these older cards tries to turn it face up, reveal the card and it stays on the battlefield face down."

Both look good to me. Personally, I'm looking forward to the 4/4 flying indestructible hexproof one on turn 3.

I was talking about the 5-mana 5/4, but the delve one is also pretty nifty.

I really like Archfiend of Depravity & Dromoka, the Eternal(?) for AbzanMonastery Mentor 2W Creature-Human Monk (M) Prowess Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, put a 1/1 white Monk creature token with prowess onto the battlefield. 2/2

Tasigur, the Golden Fang 5B Legendary Creature-Human Shaman Delve 2{G/U}{G/U}: Put the top two cards of your library into your graveyard, then return a nonland card of an opponent's choice from your graveyard to your hand. 4/5A 4/5 for 1-3 mana and no drawbacks seems pretty good

That is insane. But I come from the age of playing 4x control magic so you could steal air elementals and royal assassins.
