They are not glossy, they pass all tests besides the Light test (just a little darker than a normal card) when I used a Jewelers scope they are spot on, Border is solid white and black they do not have pixels, the touch is almost spot on, (they even smell like a magic card) a little play wear (shuffling) and they probably would be spot on for touch (this concerns me). Some cards pictured here you will see have different fonts and some have bad mana symbols on them like the cradle and the Juzam the 2 is obviously off. I have been purchasing cards online and opening them on camera and light testing them as of late. Some sellers on TCG player have been selling fake goyfs and the like and have been refusing refunds unless the "real card" they sent the buyer is returned not a fake. Double edged sword is the buyer lying or is the seller lying. I hope this helps people be more leery when picking cards up especially staples. Also water damaged cards I have tested do not pass light test if its a darker liquid such as coffee, coke, pepsi so I would not be shocked to see water damaged proxies being sold in the future as real cards. Also when in doubt line it up to a real magic card they do not match up I like having a revised card to do this with as I can use the white side on black border cards and the back side on the white border cards.Any other questions I am more than happy to respond as soon as I can.

I have not seen any foils that have been of concern to me, the foil Proxy cards I have placed my hands on are thick do not bend very well and just seem to be printed off a computer printer with some clear vinyl.

Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention. I would be very interested in handling a few of these cards so I can be more knowledgeable about fakes that are getting better and better these days. Please let me know if you could send me a small sampler:1x revised dual 1x ON fetch 1x zendikar fetch 1x legend card 1x modern playable card 1x city of traitor 1x wasteland or ancient tomb I would be glad to cover any shipping expenses you might incur.

Thank you for sending these! From a distance, they look very real; however, there are still some tell-tale indicators I'm noting as follows:1. The cards feel slightly thin and are more flimsy than the authentic versions. 2. The color intensity on each of the cards (revised, ON, tempest, Zendikar, MM) are slightly too rich 3. They all have a slightly more glossy feel to them and are slick to the touch. 4. The text seems off on the MM card; font and letter spacing. 5. The LEG card mana symbols seem fake, particularly the colorless mana symbol. 6. It gets more difficult to see the flaws in these fakes when the cards are sleeved. 7. Of the lot, the dual land seemed to me to be the most legitimate. The sad conclusion is, these fakes are overall very good and would fool about 95% of the Magic community. From what I have heard about the quantities of fakes sold and how quickly cards change hands, someone you know or that goes to your card shop probably owns one or more fakes, whether they know it or not. Be vigilant!

What are some ways to tell a fake Innistrad Liliana of the Veil from a real one? I recently picked up two Innistrad Liliana of the Veil from an online store, and one is lighter that's the other and the lettering isn't as bold. I don't know if it's just a printing error or if I'm being paranoid.

take your smart phone and use the light, all cards should pass the same amount of light there never should be a difference this is the best way to tell, remember print colors can be off different countries that print for wotc seem to have slightly different color variations.also check on youtube for detecting counterfeits this will help you as well

Yes Alpha I agree on the list you put down, now days it seems like everything has a pro fit on it and its not like people take every card out of the sleeve when trading for something (I am guilty of doing this in the past), in that instance the touch test is irrelevant. I have been vigilant about taking every card out of sleeves and handling them, this is the same reason I open all my mail on Camera these days and check all cards with a High Lumen LED Light.Note only the moat has that really fake wonky dark colorless casting cost for the legends card the Nether Void and the Abyss do not have that darkness to them. Also I cannot do the touch test as well as most people can, My profession is Cook/Chef so my fingers and hands are calloused most stuff feels the same to me, one example would be I can grab Sizzling bacon off the grill easy 350 Degrees and flip it bare handed and I do not feel a thing. Did you get a chance to hit these with a Jewelers Scope? Because I think the print is pretty close to dead on. I only have a X10 karat loupe and I see no colors in borders.

Unfortunately, I did not check them out with a Jewelers Scope since I don't have one. I have a good eye for fakes and never needed one.
