1st round vs. ponza
I squared off against a friend named Mike who was playing ponza. He opened with a mountain, I played plains then sergeant. He played a second mountain and I answered with plains lieutenant. He missed a land drop and pays for it. I tangle wire. That is all she wrote. armageddoned 2 round later. Game. Game 2 was more of the same as I double tangle wire by round 5 and he has no answer for it.

2nd round vs. rebel
I knew coming into this one that I stood little chance. John has been playing his rebel deck since MM and has the best metagame deck around here. 1st game we exchange mother of runes then steadfast guard. Unfortunately I miss a land drop and lose to tangle wire. Game 2 was the same thing as we both started out with sergeants and lieutenants except I get out the first tangle wire and armageddon after searching 3 rounds later. Game 3 was the best match of the night. We both play a mother of runes then fresh volunteers, then keep matching creatures for 2 turns. He tangle wires which promptly gets disenchanted. I search play a second mother then geddon. He looks down seeing I have 3 2/2's to his 3 but I can get across safely each turn with both of us at 16 he will lose in 4. Amazingly he topdecks a cradle and starts mad searching. Two turns later I do 15 to him top knock him down to 1. Should have looked at the board better, he searches twice then beats me for 12 killing me.

Another quick match. tangle wire finishes him off both games.

Game 4 against another ponza deck
Only difference between this one and the other 2 is I finally get mana screwed in Game 1. The next 2games are almost like the other ones. tangle wire leading me to the last 2 games and a 2nd place finish for the night.
