“ He is much too young for this task!” whispered Barrin in an angry, hushed tone.
“ Listen to me,” said Urza, “ Hetari is one of the best students I have ever had. He is a sophisticated Teferi in many ways.”
“Yes!” hissed barrin, “ That is exactly why he must remain at the academy to help the production of the artifacts which are so desperately needed.”
“Enough, I have already made my decision.” The door begins to creak open and I scramble away before I’m seen. I tiptoe into my room, quietly close the door and open up a tome. A knock at the door, “It is Urza, may I speak with you Hetari?”
“Of course Master Urza.” I reply. The door opens and Urza walks partially into the room.
“Hetari, you know that the past few weeks I have been discussing with Barrin about the mission that you have agreed to set fourth upon.”
“Yes, I am very anxious to set out upon Dominia to gather artifacts and allies in preparation for the phyrexian invasion.”
“Well Hetari, I have decided to send you. I will provide you with everything you need as well as the dagger I gave to Barrin, which can summon me when needed. I first require you to meet with the merfolk peoples of Rootwater. I know that we maybe be able to receive some aide from them. If you manage to gain court with the Vizier then summon me and I will transport you off to Mercadia where you may gain addition tools and resources, but be weary the city is a dangerous place with the current infighting from the peoples. But I wish for you to aide the rebels in any way possible and perhaps meet with Eldamiri and Cho-Manno. They are both fighting for the same cause but limit themselves to mere mercenary raiders and Keldoran troops. Perhaps if you could forge an alliance between the Keldoran armies and the rebels we would have enough strength to strike Phyrexia first. But enough for now, I want you to get a good night’s sleep and I will awake you in the morning. I wish to send you off early so that you may make good use of the day. Good luck, Dominia depends on the outcome of your mission so go at it with faith and strength for you shall be able to call me whenever the need may arise. Goodnight.”
“Good,” the door closes, “Night.” I lay there just wondering what the new day will bring, the places I will see, and the people I will meet. “Kalsip, you and I will make the best team Urza has ever seen and I know we will find the most powerful artifacts ever created!”
“Squawk!”
Soon my eyelids seemed to weigh 10 pounds and I could not keep them open. Yes tomorrow will be a great day.
