The encyclopedia magica does IBCIBC is the next constructed qualifiers so it's nice to take a look at what to expect.
Archetypes
Mono-Red Sligh- Yes just red sligh does work in IBC it has enough decent beat-sticks and burn to function quickly. The premise is simple drop some creatures and start the beats. Bend or Break stalls the game out and the burn can finish out the game in a pinch. The deck averages around turn 5-7 kills, and has a chance against a lot of the current field i've test-played. This deck loses to Domain for the first game since you have no way to stop restraint and counters for your burn. The only way to win is to get really lucky with a LOT of late game burn or an early Bend or Breaks so you can keep attacking. G/R Beats is also a tough match up at all times, because of the large creatures and burn of their own.

Red-White Sligh- This new deck has the new beefier Mogg fanatic in Goblin Legionare, it also gains Squee's Embrace, and even in some cases a Rakavolver or two helps the deck. The only thing about this deck is you have to try to play some cheaper creatures and not all gold ones either that wrecks the deck. Plays the same as sligh with some better creatures in exchange for some mana issues. This has a better shot against Domain and G/R beats, but loses to ponza way easier than normal sligh.

Mono-red Ponza- Yes LD is back! Oh and it can be mono-colored in IBC plus it doesn't suck! Yes that's all well and good the LD spells other than Turf Wound are good, you would be amazed how many times you kicker Dwarven Landslide. This deck get's maimed by Spiritmonger, in all honesty if they have mana to regen. it every turn, your only hope is to stall until your army/burn wins. Also keep Bloodfire Colossus in the deck, every time you play him he can nuke all creatures except for regen. and kick the other guy in the nuts during the end game. The SB is for the most part made to annihalate Spiritmonger, and other large annoying creatures.

G/R/B Obliterate- Yes Obliterate backed by Overabundance is a very quick combo and if you add Penumbra Kavu and Wurm's popping up new token creatures. You may also use Pernicious Deed's to blow up other creatures and enchantments. Add some cards you can abuse with the boost of mana from overabundance and you have a deck. You can also replace the black with white for Rout, Powerstone Minefield, and Overgrown Estate. Funny how this thing gets reamed by Counter unless you just lay them out with a very quick 4th turn Wurm and 5th turn Obliterate. Discard is also a real bitch for this deck.

G/R Real Fires- Well if you don't know how Fires works, he's a quickie tutorial. Step 1: Lay a Fires of Yavimaya. Step 2: Lay a creature and attack. Step 3: Shoot off burn to kill off opposing player. Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you win. You will get crushed by Spiritmonger's. They will simply crush your creatures except for Rith. You have a chance thanks to Rith's Grove and Order/Chaos. An intresting Variant is to take out some of the 2 and 3 drops to add Penumbra Kavu and Penumbra Bobcat's.

U/W/R control- U/W is one of the most effective control decks in the enviroment. But, I hate all the current kill methods i've seen. So I decided to throw in red to take advantage of Fire/Ice and the simple kill mechanism of kickered Urza's Rage's. Suffocating blast just wasn't good enough with the mana base I use. Besides most of the time the creatures are already dealt with because of Teferi's Moat, Sunken Hope, and Rout. Reviving Vapors let you do a quick top-deck search and gain life. Meanwhile Fire/Ice, Fire is some cheap creature kill, while Ice let's you draw and stall the other player in the early game. This deck has problems with anything that disrupts the mana flow, Kavu Chameleons are still annoying, and Spiritmonger's that get into play could cause problems. The SB is transformational turning it into a modified poor man's Aggro-control deck.

B/G Zombie Doom or Mommy where's my brain?- This deck is mostly based off Zombies combined with the massive pump that Strength of the Night gives. The deck pretty much builds itself. Pack 16 or more zombies, add four Lord of the Undead, add discard and some removal. There you have a decent deck, but then you run the game breaker, Strength of the Night. For 4 mana you have a +3/+3 to all zombies at instant speed. Specific issues include adding Phyrexian Arena for card advantage, I personally would run 3-4 so you can start to ramp up card advantage. Adding Life/Death is very debatable. Also for creature removal I run Reckless Spite, because I like the double creature kill at cheap cost. One warning, this deck will be completely destroyed by Tsabo's Decree. Yet that is also your only chance against Spiritmonger.

Red Zone- This deck is a three colored beatdown deck using utillity spells from each color to go with the large resilient creatures. The deck is highly effective and can be very effective against almost any deck in IBC. The deck does have a large problem, if your mana and elves get attacked though. Dromar is a problem for the deck if he gets out, so that's who the 2 wallops are for.

B/U beats- The idea is just to lay a few creatures, using bounce to remove any obstructions and counters to stop other removal. This deck has many problems with a large amount of burn and large creatures. Since the only was to stop the larger of the creatures is with recoil and the counters.

B/R Void- The deck is built off of discard and removal. It's highly effective against opposing creature decks and with some solid discard spells can put up a fight against control decks as well. The creature base can consist of Specters, Rats , Skizziks, and other large creatures. Or it can have a low cost variety of zombies to fill your ranks. Anyway your deck should work fine against a large amount of decks since it has a large amount of discard and removal. You should watch out for enchantments, they could cause problems for you.

Wild Research: This deck is like Domain in that it uses enchantments and counters to rule the game. There are 2 main versions of the deck, one is to have just the wild research colors U/R/W, or the second which is to go 4 or 5 colored and usually relies more on the powerful gold instants of each enemy color and recursion with Yawgmoth's Agenda. Also consistency is key, since most wild research decks will die if the research does not come out to play. Your other problem is building the deck so you won't have to worry too much about it going boom. One option people seemed to of overlooked is just packing a few Hanna's in the deck to recur enchantments you lose. Also a few other good options are Yavimaya's Embrace, the Shifting Sky/Teferi's Moat combo, and a single Dueling Grounds. The main kill is handled by the single grif and 2 Urza's Rage. Of course you can win with the dagger, Orim's Thunder, Embrace, and Maneuver.

Recur-Discard: You use a small group of very large creatures, discard, card drawing (i.e., fact or fiction and probe) and then add reanimation in the forms of
Life/Death and Cauldron Dance. All I have to say is, dropping a Dromar from your 3rd turn probe, 4th turn Life/death is fun. Oh and why do I use Dromar? It has no drawbacks is a 6/6 flyer and has the Wash-Out feature build into him. Besides paying 6 life is better than 16 to get a Draco out of the graveyard. Cauldron Dance will be used on Draco, and if you want to include him Devouring Strossus. Besides Dromar is also in there, becuase you can cast him normally. You have mostly discard and if you choose to add them a few counters.

G/W Train: The deck is based off of a large amount of gold G/W creatures backed by a little pump, enchantment, and land removal. There isn't too much to explain, I use Global Ruin as a crappy armageddon, Wax/Wane for pump and enchantment removal. The main problem is against a normal control deck you die, since Teferi's Moat+Counters=GG the only thing you have against them is the 4 Voice of All's.

The Solution: I turned the metagame anwser deck into a solid U/W aggro control. I can't say what beats the deck because you should still like the orignal deck, tune it to your local metagame. I added Shifting Sky to play cute little tricks with Voice of All and Galina's Knight by calling black.

Call: This deck is based around Eladamri's Call and Restocks to search for key creatures against many a deck. Common choices for the creature base is Voice of All, Acyolytes, Charging Troll, FTKs, Mystic Snake, Tahngarth, the Battlemages, Sabertooth Nishoba, Reya, Gaea's Herald, Volvers, Spiritmonger, Desolation Angel, and Desolation Giant. Search through all that and pick some creatures then throw in various spells to live and you have a deck.

Sanctuary: This is a B/G/W deck, that's built around getting one or more Necra Sanctuaries out with green and white permanents in play. Sterling Grove is protection and search all in one, and Overgrown Estate is commonly used to provide a way for the Sanctuary player to keep herself alive while the Necra Sanctuaries do their job. Routs, Vindicates, and Order/Chaos handles creature threats. While with Elfhame Sanctuary and estate out you can gain 3 life a turn while the Necra Sanctuaries go to work. Elhame Sanctuary is not a instant add, i've seen the deck work without it. Necravolver is worth including in the deck, and is simply amazing once he is double kickered.

R/U Control: The deck uses some decent counters, card-drawing, and mass burn/bounce to control the game. The deck has not been effective in my testing because of the limits of burn on large creatures and the fact that my W/U/R control deck owns it, because of the fact that the counters are solid, plus the life gain makes Urza's Rages not work as well as they should.

Well that's it, I know I missed Domain, but I think that has been substanialy covered in other places, and I won't post a Fervent Charge deck until it's win ratio is substanially improved. I may have missed others, but this is a pretty comprehensive list.
Hope you learned something and see you later.
