I was banned from the WotC store(Shoplifting, read my other article, i dont want to get into it)
and my DCI membership was permenantly suspended (One single Pro point....)
i found myself seemingly out of the ring of magic players, i could only trade with people outside the store, and only after FNM.
No other card shop near me to play at, and only a few magic playing buddies, i found myself dissassembling all my decks. Time to find a new hobby... but then i noticed my shoebox sitting in the corner, gathering dust, an old nike one for extemely large shoes, (My bro has size 11) it held all my old cards, the 4th edition stuff i began with, and then ice age, the dark, fallen empires etc.
Hold a thought on that new hobby....
when i began, i had the wierdest decks, pestilence overkill, which generated insane amounts of black mana, then funneling it into my pestilence, killed just about everyone, including me. those days were fun, and it was like an adult finding an old toy. except that i wasnt an adult: i was a 13 year old kid with an old shoebox full of cardboard.

But doubtless, i figured that i could play casual with all my buddies, wherever they might be. A month after my shunning, i was being creative with my decks, and while my friend "Bob" was owning with his finkula deck at FNM and buying all those boosters, giving me the cards he never used, i made a deadly firebeathing-ghitu fire eater-sack to smack
creation. My Dromars were traded for atogs, my foil mystic snake for a foil atogatog
(I collect atogs) and looking back, i regret doing something as petty as shoplifing but you have to look to the future with some amount of enthusiasm. I will occasionally attend a prerelease under my brothers DCI, but for no other reason, i am selling my cards, my money rares, and making funny and hilarious decks. Guilt leads to innovation, Tempo to Scuicide(literally) Pestilence.
I know that the choices i made were stupid, but whats doen is done, and lessons are learned. Of course, i really want those atogs, so dont hesitate to deal with me!

This is not an article.

You have found the Magic again. Enjoy it the way it was meant to be played.. by having fun.
