That retort is only appropriate when the person in question hasn't actually made an effort. If you look at the last several pages of the Post for Politics, you'll see that I've made quite an effort to raise interesting issues (some might say an excessive effort, given how often one of my posts follows another of my posts). Unfortunately, there seem to be no takers. Which is fine--I guess it just means that my interests and the average MOTLer's differ significantly. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the ignorant trolls are gone. Still, I do miss the days when we had three or four discussion threads going, and I could barely finish a mammoth post before someone posted something else that demanded a huge reply. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have checked the e-mail notification box when I replied to this thread 4 years ago. :PBut a quick "HI!" to anybody that still remembers me.

Just nostalgia'd so hard...I was 19 when I registered on this site. I'm 31 now. This place hasn't changed a bit. Literally, it hasn't changed. Same forums and same homepage I designed so many years ago. Anyway, just dropping in to say Hi. I figured it was time for my second 5 year check in.

Haha. Welcome back again, Ion. It's funny you should stop by. I'm about to celebrate my 11th year on the site and I remember seeing this post 5 years ago. It was right before I was quitting Magic for the 3rd or 4th time. Haha Just started playing Magic again about 4 months ago, looks like I started just in time to catch your once-in-five-year come around. I never really posted on the Discussion boards, but I was around daily reading them. I definitely remember you. Thanks for the hard work you did for the site!
