A better analogy may be Pete Rose. I know Rose wasn't actually kicked out of MLB for betting on games, but he'll probably never be inducted into the HoF.

Sir, Pete Rose is a great ball player. The games he was betting on were his own. He was betting that he would win and under no circumstances did he throw a game. So the jist of the situation: 1. Mike Long is a prick
2. Mike Long is forced to cheat in order to stay competitive.

I didn't say Pete Rose tossed a game. Neither did Mike unless you count getting caught cheating as throwing a game lol. I used the Pete Rose Analogy because both Pete Rose and Mike Long were great players and neither will be inducted into the hall of fame due to their own actions. That's where my analogy ends. Pete Rose is a great man. Mike Long is an ass pirate. 'Nuff said.

I'd liken him more to Barry Bonds, to winning at any cost. Neither are obviously so desperate to be liked they end up inadvertantly being hated.__________________
