Topic: Need some help: Info on MTG fanatic

Just wanted to know if anyone had done any business with these guys (MTG fanatic) and how it went. Also if you don't mind saying how much the total amount was buying or selling either way.

I sold around $200-300 worth of cards to them about a year ago. They were extremely fast and professional, but they are *very* strict graders. They don't offer a percentage less for cards in less than Mint condition, they just mail them back to you. They still accepted a good bit of what I sent them, but some of the things that they sent back were cards that I thought they'd have no probelm accepting. So all in all, it was a very good experience, just make sure you grade carefully!

I've never had less than NM cards sent back, they changed the buy price to .01 (a penny) and gave me that instead of the price I sent it in for.

Really? That's pretty awful, I wonder if they changed their policy. That was one of the things that drew me to them (besides their buy prices being really good for some things), was that they didn't just auto-cut down the price of what they were buying if they didn't think the cards were NM. They just simply said on their site that they only except unplayed, NM cards, & that anything less than that would be sent back. I didn't want to send to a vendor that could just take what I gave them & slash the prices down based on condition, when I couldn't even see the cards again to tell whether it was legit or not. I liked that they were so up front about it. I made sure to grade carefully, but there were still some cards that they didn't deem good enough. It was mostly things like the front of the card was perfect but there was a bit of edge whitening on the back, & I didn't think to check the backs so thoroughly. So check the front & back of each card!They had great communication, they sent my payment either the day or the day after they received the cards, & they sent the cards they wouldn't take back to me well-packaged & pretty fast, with a list explaining what they accepted & what they didn't. So all in all, I was very happy. However, if they have changed their policy & now are keeping cards that aren't NM & only paying 1 cent for them, I would think twice about dealing with them. Check their page for their policies, because when I dealt with them it was clearly stated that they'd just simply send the cards back. Maybe email and ask them as well to be sure. Hope this helps!

I just sell them cards as "played" anyways unless I personally pull them from a pack to avoid hassles... The last two packages were automatically deducted X amount for some reason they couldn't explain and I did not receive any of my cards back either.. I emailed the owner and he said they should have shown up and there's nothing he could do about it. This has happened back to back packages now..
