I'm a bit of a cult fan of Anime and like a very wide range of different shows. It's pretty tough to find new good shows to watch. What would you all suggest?I like realism mixed with a decent amount of science fiction without going over the top. Current shows I've liked include Berserk Kenshin Bleach Naruto 0-7 ghost Hellsing Devil May Cry Blood+ Hakuouki Full metal alchemist Serekei Queens Blade Also a few other shows **one about a bunch of wolfs trying to survive in the city **one about a pod being found in stasis that contains somebody powerful enough to save the world (also has a creepy room with a huge shoe collection and a living aquatic virus. ** What other ones would you all suggest watching?

**The anime with the wolf's surviving in the city I believe is called Wolf's Rain. I thought it was good...although the ending was a bit lackluster :-\Some of my favorite anime shows that you didn't list: Baki, the Grappler - A general fighting anime. I like it. Deathnote - I think it lives up to the hype. Very impressed. Great Teacher Onizuka - Top 2 anime series of mine. Huge fan. It's an ex-gangster who's the biggest pervert trying to become the best high school teacher. Outlaw Star - Easily one of my favorites. I like this over Bebop, not close. X (1999) - It's like a Good vs. Bad leading up to the day of destiny. Trigun - It's enjoyable. I actually liked the 1st half of this, compared to the 2nd half though :-\

Tenkuu no Escaflowne - The Vision of Escaflowne: a school girl who is adept at telling the future is whisked away to another world where a prince battles in a giant suit powered by the heart of a dragon against an evil empire lead by a man who wants to shape the destiny of the world. Neon Genesis Evangelion - the gold standard for anime series, as far as I'm concerned. There are giant aliens called "angels" and the title suggests other allegorical references, but the heart of the story is arguably the main character trying to figure out who he is an unlocking the secrets of his family. His father is far from the ideal man, and the series delves into issues of love, hate, and what it means to be alive and have a soul. Fushigi Yuugi - Mysterious Play: a schoolgirl is transported to another world after finding a book in the library and now she must find seven hidden warriors to help her return to her own world. Unfortunately, her best friend has also been whisked away and is battling against her quest. If you haven't seen them, you should watch these movies directed by Hayao Miyazaki: Nausicaa Valley of the Wind, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and Kiki's Delivery Service. __________________ There are two rules for success: 1. They have been mentioned before, but they are so good they need to be said again.Great Teacher Onizika Death Note Cowboy Bebop I was an anime hater till I seen these, Death Note isn't so much an awesome work of art as the other two but it's just plain cool. The wolf one is called Wolf's Rain. For some reason I like Chobits too =p

I have tons on my list you may like, they would be related more to the bottom of your list like Sekerei and Queen's Blade. I'm at work at the moment, though, so I'll post them up when I get home.My favorite way of discovering new anime has been http://myanimelist.net/. Look up an anime you really like and browse the recommendations, or pick a tag and go through the anime that have that tag. __________________ The only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.

I watched the Cowboy Bebop movie on netflix and was really impressed. As weird as it feels to say it, I was most impressed with the camera work (weird because of course there IS no camera). However, the 12-year old boy/girl deux ex machina hacker was such an intensely annoying character that I can't bring myself to watch the tv series because it would involve putting up with it again. Never have I wanted so dearly for a character to die already and leave me in peace, ugh. /siderant __________________ "I never got any respect at all. chobits was surprisgly entertaining when I watched it years ago. I tried watching it again and wasn't impressed. There are two more I'm trying to figure out but can't remember the first one is about people who have different stigma in their eyes and takes place in a kind of feudal system. Each stigma has special powers The second is about a It's about a small town that suddenly gets attacked by plant spores that try to take over the world. A girl (i think) in the town has to go out and stop them. She's trained by her grandma and has a boomerang as a weapon I've never been a big fan of bebop, gundam, one piece, or neon. trigun was ok though. I prefer anime that exhibits some amount of realism. the 4 above don't.

Aaah, One Piece! That was a fun show.quote: Originally posted by farsk8dutch:

And it's worth noting that they suffer the same fundamental flaw, namely that they seem to think that obnoxious, bratty behavior delivered at ear-splitting volume is somehow funny and/or endearing rather than eminently punchworthy. __________________ "I never got any respect at all. I watch everything on animefreak.tv or netflix (if you like it dubbed in english).Queens blade is better than serikei and everybody should watch berserk (it's short but well done.) the graphics on animefreak are good, have multiple languages for voices and subs on many, and probably a few hundred different anime. As for elfin leid, it's one of the highest rated anime's of all time but it's really only rated that for it's graphic content and isn't all that impressive. To ask again though, does anybody know what the following anime series is called? **a girl with a boomerang has to save her world from being taken over by gov't developed spore shooting artillery plants**

Fate/stay night, Fate/unlimited blade works. Also liked at least the first two seasons of Tsubasa Chronicles. Haven't watched much since then, not sure how good it is later on. And Trinity Blood which is a lot weirder. Ragnarok is pretty dumb because few of the characters are actually likeable, but if you've played RO, it's worth watching just to kill some time. The second half is significantly better than the first half.

Hrrrm....as to series, I haven't seen many because I'm very picky when it comes to Anime, but these:Samurai Champloo Afro Samurai Movies: Afro Samurai: Resurrection Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (Don't watch the first one, it's dated and cheesy as hell) Animatrix Princess Mononoke (Or anything by Miyazake) Akira (duh?) Hopefully there's something in that limited selection that you haven't seen and might like

HellsingInitial D Those are the only ones I was able to watch. Hellsing has some badass characters, and Initial D is nice but may get boring after a bit. Also sucks if you're not into cars. __________________ #2 in posts from British Columbia!Got any Portuguese Foils? Post on my list or email me at valter.cid@gmail.com !

A lot of the suparobo genre are good, especially if you fast-forward through the boring bits (all non-robot parts).
