1. What one piece of advice would you like to share with others to help them be more successful or be happier?2. What failure in your life have you experienced that you feel is important to have lived through to help you grow? 3. What would you like to do right now that is just outside of your reach because of one thing (money, people, other resources)? 4. Aside from server/forum/site changes, what is one thing that you would like to see changed about MOTL? 5. What is something that you feel that you are better than most other people at doing?

-I am a healthcare & retirement benefits consultant. Feel free to ask if you have questions about pension plans or the new PPACA legislation (AKA OBAMACARE). -2002 Nissan Altima - 30 mi/gallon sure makes the 50 minute daily commute ALMOST affordable -Favorite card is Deus of Calamity. I started playing in Shadowmoor and bought the r/g precon. I was having some trouble playing and a friend gave me the Deus. As soon as I combined it with Runes of the Deus and dealt 16 trample/forestwalk damage and destroyed 2 lands I was hooked! -I hate counter spells, but aside from that I cant stand cards that don't let me do something. I am mainly thinking Fate Spinner. I also HATE cards with indestructibility. -Up until a few weeks ago I would say I love legacy(love the power level of each card) and hate standard(cant stand being forced to rebuy collections). Recently, however, I am moving more into EDH/Commander and honestly I am not missing 60 card decks. 5 of us at work play everyday during our lunch break and nothing is more fun and random then playing EDH. -I ran a thrumming rats (Relentless rats and thrumming stones) deck that was hilarious. Outside of that I am playing a pretty cool r/g haste extended deck that I am a bit in love with. The Colossal Mighted, Assault Strobed, Jund Hackblade hitting for 14 Trample Turn 3 is amazing! -Favorite Color is Black which is funny because my favorite combo is either r/g or b/r. I just dont much like Red w/o the other pieces. Jund was made for me. I hate passing my turn without attacking and I hate leaving mana untapped.

1) Do you collect M:tG cards? What are the highlights of your collection/personal favorites?2) Are you married/single/divorced, any children? 3) In daily life, what annoys you the most? 4) If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? 4b) If you could change one thing about the world what would it be? 5) Every time I see your screen name I picture a dog being stretched over a muddy pit with an orange ribbon tied around its middle. What inspired your choice in screen names?

1. Don't forget what you have already gone through. When faced with a new crisis dont treat it like it will kill you. Dont get too upset and dont let it steal your joy. You'll make it through and someday it will just be a memory. 2. Being a bit overweight and having poor skin, I was pretty unpopular with the ladies in high school. It forced me to work on my personality and character. When I went to college I got in good shape and met my beautiful wife. Without the failures in High School I wouldnt have been the man my wife fell in love with! 3. I would love to go back to school and get a masters/PHD in economics or statistics. I would also have considered getting into real estate. Both these are pretty impossible when you have a house/mortgage, wife, and 3 kids depending on you. 4. Its been said before but I think I would rather see the long-time members be a bit kinder and more welcoming. Although I do understand dealers not wanting to give away trade secrets. People who are new are often truly ignorant of the way "we do things around here". I remember when I signed up I had an extra couple Noble Hierarch's and I wanted a Sliver Queen. The prices lined up so I made that the title of my post. I cant even begin to describe the flack i took for that one. 5. I think I am a better listener than most. I believe that I have the ability to not only hear what is being said, but to then understand what the person is feeling that caused them to say it. I am usually pretty good at getting to the root of the problems and offering suggestions on how to fix it.

How did you get into this line of work? Do you find it satisfying/fulfilling? What is your favorite EDH moment in the past month? Do you only ever cast Berserk and/or Fatal Frenzy during combat?

Favorite food?Ten favorite movies? When did you get into Magic cards and who/how did you get involved? Are we (America) going into a depression? Where do you see the future of America's economy and general state heading and what could be done, in your opinion, to better it? 1 I love collecting! Do to my busy life, I have not been able to play in tournaments. I play a ton casually but my favorite part of Magic is collecting and trading. My biggest highlight is that I have quietly turned my $500 investment in cards into a collection that I will be selling for almost $4,000 in September. Pretty much all the trades I made followed 3 rules. 1)Always trade $1 in standard for $1 in legacy. 2)Always trade 4 $1 cards for 1 $4 card. 3) Most importantly never NEED anything. Seems obvious but it works! 2 Super happily married with 3 kids. Logan is 3, Lizzy is 1 and half and Jonny is 6 weeks old. 3 I cant stand people who use literally to describe something that is figurative. "I Literally laughed my head off". I also cant stand people who use "Ever" too much. "That is the greatest piece of pizza EVER!" 4a I would probably change my location. I would love to be closer to my family. 4b I would make the Buffalo Bills win the super bowl. 5 UGHH I hate my username. I guess its supposed to be like Man o' War but with Pugs. Its terrible. When I first tried to get into trading on here there was a problem that cut off any new people from joining. My buddy at work had signed up a few weeks earlier but did not do any trades and wasn't interested in online trading. So I just used his username and changed the info to be me. Unfortunately I was stuck with the name. I love the mental picture of a pug on a stick though!

I saw Rush at the NYstate fairgrounds last summer. AWESOME. They are amazing. Nothing crazy happened other than getting to see the worlds greatest band (how are they not in the Hall of Fame). Almost enough to get me to switch nationalities. I did check out Primus at an old theater and they were great. The pot smoke was so thick I could hardly see the band though. Small venues are great but that is a bit of a draw back. I met David Robinson at DFW airport. I couldnt believe how tall he was. He shook my hands and the tip of his finger hit me half way up my forearm. I asked a random stranger to take a picture of him with me with my camera. The woman clearly did not know who he was. She asked him to move all over the terminal to get in the right light. He was incredibly kind and patient. I finally just yelled "Take the picture". The pictures didnt turn out...due to the lighting I would choose the smoke monster from Lost. That guy seemed fun to hang out with!

I had originally taken an internship while in college. One of my friends was already working there. Its pretty cool. Knowing you are helping out employers who are facing real problems with controlling the cost of their retirement and medical plans is pretty rewarding. The 5 of us at work each bought 1 of the 5 commander decks. I am running the G/B/U deck and usually choose The Mimeoplasm as my general. The other day I was able to cast him and target Rapacious One and put 10 +1/+1 tokens on him w/ Artisan of Kozilek. I then hit for like 16 (creating 16 eldrazi spawn). The next turn i saced them and played Minds Aglow and tapped out. I made each player draw 26 cards. The crazy part was that I had Dreamborn Muse on the table. So not only did each player mill about 30 at the beginning of each turn they had to discard down to 7 at EOT. I decked 2 of the 3 opponents and beat the others FTW! My greatest Berserk moment had to be the time i was playing a "casual" deck against my buddies standard legal Boros landfall deck. I dropped some creature, colossal mighted it, Berserked it, and souls' fired it for the win!

1. My favorite food is probably shepherds pie. We had a Irish Pub in town that made the best shepherds pie. It closed and I cried. Outside of that my wife makes dinner pretty much every night so my favorite food is usually whatever she made that night! 2. I am a huge movie buff. I worked at Blockbuster for 3 years while in college. I actually got the job by answering the question "Favorite Movie" in the interview by saying "Tremors". It just happened to be the store managers favorite movie and he hired me on the spot. My top 10 now is probably something along the lines of:-Star Wars : The Empire Strikes Back -Young Frankenstein/Blazing Saddles -Rear Window/North by Northwest -Pale Rider/High Plains Drifter -Arsenic and Old Lace -Memento -Rounders (Here's a free list of movies you may not have seen but should have) -Scotland PA -Scorched -Thirteenth Floor -Spanish Judges -Dark City -No Country for Old Men -Equilibrium -House of Sand and Fog (Warning: Do not watch this if you are depressed) -Igby Goes Down 3. I had played Star Wars CCG in high school with my younger brother. In 2008 he got in to Magic with a friend of his. He showed me his r/g shadowmoor precon and taught me to play. I was hooked. Of course we never played blue so you can imagine my suprise when a coworker who had played for 15 years brought in his Blue/Black deck and started countering my spells. Its prolly why I hate blue to this day. 4-5. Recession obviously yes...but no i dont think we will go into a full-fledged depression. I do not have a lot of trust in our current leaders though. This raising the debt-ceiling business seems incredibly short-sighted and reactionary. Unfortunately it is necessary because we allowed it to get this far. In the long run I think we pull out of it because the majority of our problems are really just in perception. The people think we are in trouble so they tighten the purse strings and dont spend money. We really just need to get our confidence back. Its like the US is Austin Powers and we have lost our Mojo. (notice that wasnt one of my top 10 movies).

Dude is like Fred Savage's special brother in The Wizard (check this movie out if you havent!) f)2008 g)A couple times a year i take a trip down to my brothers in Pittsburg and we get a box of the latest set and seperate out the packs and play booster & sealed 1v1 tournaments. Its about the only time i get to see him nowadays so its pretty special.

1. Hopefully however i just sold the majority of my legacy/valuable stuff so tournaments are probably out. Maybe some sort of draft/sealed deck though. its a bit of a trek for me though. Maybe if we meet at PlaytheGame in Syracuse! 2.We probably should however i no longer have anything of value 3.I was 23. Fresh out of college. 4.We celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary in June! 5. My wife and I met in Nov 2001 and started officially dating in March 2002. We were married in June 2004. My wife claims she new immediately that we would get married and it just took me a while to catch up.

Tv is practically raising these kids As Peter Griffin once said, "I love you Meg, but I also love Star Trek, and in all fairness Star Trek was there first" Truthfully with my wife home all day with 3 kids under four there are alot of time plunked in front of Dinosaur Train, or Blues Clues or name the new flavor of the week. It does help my poor frazzled wife. When I get home its pretty much no games/no tv til bed. Although with my 3 year old he is rewarded for having an "accident free" day w/ a game of animal crossing or mario cart. I do plan on limiting the content of what they watch when they are old enough. Specially the internet. I plan on having just 1 internet computer and it will be in the living room...i guess we will see how that goes.

Favorite sport to play is Football or ultimate frizbee! Favorite sport to watch Live is Hockey. Favorite sport to watch on tv is football. Favorite teams are as follows... NFL-Bills, family is from Buffalo so i never had a chance. I am considering not raising my son to follow the Bills as I think that may be a form of child abuse. MLB-no team since the strike...was a huge Don Mattingly fan and he missed his one chance at making the playoffs that year. NHL-Sabres...actually competitive NBA-nothing.awful sport.unwatchable.90% of the year. NCAA-Cuse!!! I HATE the patriots and Bill Belicheck. Mainly because i am jealous. I also hate Duke and Notre Dame for the same reason I hated the Dave Mathews Band in high school. I have been to a number of Sabres and Bills games but my most memorable games are the Montreal Expos games that my dad would take me to growing up. It was the highlight of every summer!
