I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but I went to mail a package today and couldn't find any green DC slips in the PO. I actually found one on the floor, filled it out, and took it to the counter only to have the lady tell me that they don't have DC anymore. I was pretty shocked until she said they incorporated a new "tracking number" on your items without having to fill out an additional form.Needless to say I just sent stuff a couple weeks ago and was using DC from the same post office then, so this is super new. It honestly doesn't look like any functional change, but the tracking numbers seem a little longer, and you'll no longer have a separate slip when filling things out (the new # is on your receipt). Note that the article (which is all I could find on the internet) says that it has no additional cost, but I paid 90 cents today for it, which was an extra charge. See the article: http://www.pb.com/Postal-Information/Postal-News.shtml#deliveryconfirmation The new USPS Tracking™ service, which replaces Delivery Confirmation™, is available at no additional cost for First-Class Mail® parcels, First-Class™ Package Service, Priority Mail®, Standard Post™ and Parcel Select®. At the same time, the USPS is transitioning to a new Intelligent Mail® package barcode, which will be required on all parcels claiming presort or destination entry pricing (except for Standard Mail® parcels). Pitney Bowes customers have additional time to comply with this new requirement. Organizations that rely on shipping software to print labels (i.e. SendSuite® Shipping solutions) will have until October 2013 to comply. Mailing system customers will have until January 2014. In the interim, Delivery Confirmation™ labels will be rebranded as USPS Tracking™ labels. Mailers can continue to use existing labels until the new ones are available. Learn more about the Intelligent Mail® package barcode. - See more at: http://www.pb.com/Postal-Information/Postal-News.shtml#deliveryconfirmation[/i]

I have used it already, and I like it. Less for me to have to do, honestly. I don't mind that it's all on the receipt. It says which city is which and everything. Plus it saves paper (environmentally friendly)~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. Smackity-smack not a werewolf. Suspicious of this fruit loop. It looks like the paypal options will change over in October as well. At least if I'm reading this policy right. Pretty sure that the paypal service is just an extension of the online services provided by Pitney or is at least similarly effected. For now though I agree, business as usual.
