Topic: Traded cards, they sent me wrong address

So, I've had this situation come up recently: I agreed to a trade with a new member. We exchanged addresses, they sent first, when I received their cards I sent out their package. I ship all of my stuff in padded mailers with delivery confirmation to protect myself, so it should have been a done deal.I get a message from the person I was trading with on the 9th, saying they did not receive their part of the trade. DC shows it as "undeliverable as addressed. " I get the other trader to confirm their shipping info and sure enough, they sent me the wrong address initially (they did not include an apartment number). I told the other trader I would do one of the 3 things: I would re-ship in a padded mailer if they paid the shipping cost ($2.97, and I would eat the cost of mailer), I would re-ship in a plain white envelope and pay the shipping cost if they agreed to a waiver of responsibility, or I would paypal them the value of the card and just keep the card when it got back to me (it showed up a few days ago). After giving me the run around, they said they would rather just have me paypal them the value of the card. My problem is that it's coming up on two weeks and the other trade has not gotten back to me with their paypal address, despite me sending them multiple messages asking where I send the money. I don't want to have to sit on this card forever, and I don't want to have the value of the card price jack up on my suddenly (I'm probably just being paranoid, but it happens). Any suggestions on what I should do, other than just hold on the card indefinitely?

Keep all communications. PayPal then the money when they respond. No one would rule against you after this long if the other trader changes their mind

I have gotten TWO "undeliverable as addressed" issues lately. Has anyone else been having issues with this?

im not sure how accurate it is.. but this site can tell you if an address is missing an apt #, etc.http://www.melissadata.com/lookups/addresscheck.asp i tried my address without the #34 and it comes up "Suite or Apartment number is missing or invalid"

Just set the cards aside until the other party decides to contact you. You've done everything that you can to fix a mistake that they've made. If they don't feel like taking the time to get you what you need, no one can fault you for that.__________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. That's probably what I'll end up doing, although I'd rather not have just sit on the card since I'm fairly certain that they're just going to take the Paypal, which they sort of agreed to already. I have a buddy who wants to trade for the card =\

Oh yeah, if he already agreed to the PayPal value, no need to keep the card. Did you two agree to a value of the card yet? __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Trade them to me, please! Report rules violations. Not explicitly so. Our exact exchange was: quote:
that would be preferable. I already bought one because I can't pay for a card to get sent to me again. I don't have money to spend. And btw, can't you just send it pwe with a stamp for %0.45?----- Original Message ----- Alternatively, if you don't want to waive my responsibility and don't want to pay to have the card re-shipped, I will be willing to PayPal you the value of Vraska ($6.63) and just keep the card when it comes back. It's your call.
To me, that exchange seems to be the other party agreeing to accept the stated value of the card ($6.63) via Paypal, but since they are somewhat vague, I'm hesitant to trade the card.
It's also worth noting that I explained on two separate occasions that I would be willing to send in a PWE and pay the cost of shipping myself, provided that they agreed to a wavier of responsibility. Today marks two weeks since the other party has contacted me =/

So that $6.63 has been noted somewhere in the trade negotiations? That should suffice. I'd just shoot him an email asking him where "to send the $6.63" and to let you know if he'd rather do something different. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Yeah, I sent the other trader 2 messages outlining the details of how I would be willing to re-ship the card (They pay the $2.97 to have it send in a bubbled mailer with DC, or I pay to have it sent in a PWE if they waive my responsibility, and the message above saying that I would PayPal them $6.63, the value of the card at the time, to which they replied that PayPal would be preferred. I've sent them a few different messages asking where they would like their money sent to, without response back. Guess I'll just have to wait it out. Thanks for the advice nderdog, I appreciate it!

USPS continues to deliver to the wrong address for me, delayed the last couple deals I did.
