Does anyone know how many top loaders can fit in a standard letter weight wise. And also how many stamps?

a standard Plain White Envelope? Please, PLEASE do not do this. mail is sorted by machines, and they LOVE to rip open PWE's with toploaders in them. you are just asking for trouble. spend the extra $2 and mail it in a bubble mailer with delivery confirmation. PLEASE.

Is there a way to do that without taking it down to the post office?

Or you can ask them to stamp it with "non-machinable" for $0.20, and they won't run it through their machines.

but you would still have to actually go to the post office to do this, which is what he actually wanted to avoid. and they still get ruined sometimes anyway.

I made an accounts and all, and on USPS website it says it would cost around $5.00 for priority flat rate shipping for a padded envelope. Does that sound right? It seems a little high from what I see on the trade forum.

you dont want priority. regular first class parcel is all a bubble mailer needs. on this pagehttps://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/shipping/Center-outside&bn _r=m there's a link "Multiorder Shipping". click that, you need to be logged in to paypal to use it. within the US, it should be like $2-3

Paypal Multi-Shipping is generally what is used. Can get like $1.69 for postage for 3 oz (about a dozen cards with 2 toploaders).__________________ <Jazaray> LIQ! <Jazaray> you broke MOTL <Liq> totally <BoltBait> Don't make me kick you <Slinga> Have no fear, MOTL's janitor is here! <nderdog> So we're all agreed, it's Liq's fault, right? <Leshrac> let me deal with that * Liq has been banned

Damn, I have one more final question. How do I get to that shipping option if someone sent me money as "gift?"

Does anyone know if the Flat Rate shipping padded envelops that USPS will send you in bulk for free, can be used for other shipping types besides priority flat rate, such as the method listed above? Or do I have to use blank bubbler envelops instead? Thanks.

No, it can't be. It has to be used for priority. So yes, you'll have to get blank bubble mailers instead. Try ebay. I've mailed hundreds and hundreds of trades using a PWE, toploader taped to a folded piece of paper and a single first class stamp.I can't recall anyone contacting me about the envelope being torn or not receiving their cards. --Evil __________________ I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds. I do this also when sending only 1 or 2 cards. I think the paper helps the PWE go thru the machine. I have had PWE's show up torn when no paper was used but never had any problems when wrapping the top loader like this. I just received 500 of the small padded envelopes delivered today. They were purchased on ebay for just under $35 shipped.
