Far too many people get involved in BTA cases with this vigilante-style BS. This case is clearly shaping up to be an example of an unexperienced trader shooting himself in the foot by sending cards with insufficient protection. The mods will address it and we'll all move on.

Pretty much. I had a trade going with the guy when his cards disappeared in the mail, he never sent his end. Talked to him about it, we had some back and forth....at that point I read the BTA Case and saw the pics of the envelope, and suggested to him that maybe the cards were stolen in transit, as that many toploaders inside an envelope would be obvious. He was resistant to the notion at first and we had some unpleasant words, but all in all he admitted he was wrong in the end when he heard the news about the local postal employee. Dude just freaked 'cause he was out a lot of money, and that kind of reaction can put the blinders on anyone.

What gets me is that this dude went off the rail because he thought the person on the other end stole something from him. I don't know if he even tried to talk it out with the dude. I suspect it was a short attempt if there was any at all. In any case, if you're that worried, send with DC, insurance, etc. Because if the card value matters at all to anyone, it just seems way cheaper to pay on the front end then **** bricks about it on the other.

It said that in the BTA? Why would someone send one card with 4 toploaders? I don't think that's accurate. Spartan sent 1 Force of Will in a PWE with 1 toploader. The envelope arrived (so DC is irrelevant in this case) but yzaragoza claims it's empty. Spartan shot himself in the foot with his comments but I was actually inclined to believe that maybe yzaragoza nabbed the fow.

Anyone else hate posts like this? Is the answer ever anything other than, "people richer than you want it and are buying them."
