Well, the owners/builders respond rarely to my messages (I'm actually a mod there, yeah really!). No e-mails or anything in over a while. It feels like it's dead in the water.

Sadly. It started off well.
FYI, I've been in contact with Ploo this week. While they aren't actively working on the forums piece right now they have enlisted the services of a new developer to continue work on the backend tech. So this is still being worked on. Please remember that the site was only forced out there early b/c we were all afraid MOTL was going to expire. So what we've seen so far isn't even really a beta, just like a domain holding setup delivered 2-3 years early just in case :-P http://www.manaloop.com/

I'll be shocked if this gets revived in any meaningful way, you can't just disappear the way they did on a new site

at least MOTL functioned and had a base of users before the admins deserted it.

I understand, but I wasn't talking about the development of the site. I meant that you can't put 'something' up and then vanish without a word/trace. And at least have some decensy (spelling?) to at least answer if one of your most active and devoted mods (red: removed over 1000 spam posts and banned +300 users in the course of 4 weeks) cries out for help or asks where the F everybody has gone.
But I got nothing. nada. niente. Only after a flippin' month they replied. I hardly got an apology, if at all. We all have lives and pressing matters so up to a point I can understand the somewhat absense.
Still gets me mad. So you put up a site because we were afraid this one was about to be closed, yes? Great, thanks! (really, thanks!)
Then they abandon it without a word. Ah nevermind. Getting angrier by the second. And for me, that's saying something. __________________
