I hate to put this up for sale, but I'm moving very soon so if you're interested in this item, please act quickly b/c if it doesn't sell in the next day or 2 I'll have to relocate it and I'll be much less flexible about the price if I have to do that, so please act soon if you want the best deal. Up for sale is quite simply the greatest HD television ever made, period. You won't find another one like this anywhere, unless it's another Pioneer in similar condition. Pioneer made the best HDTVs in the world and this model was from the last run of projection sets they ever made. In addition to the ability to render deep blacks and excellent vibrant colors, this TV also boasts a built in speaker system that is so good we sold our surround system because the native sound of the Pioneer was superior to that of the surround sound system we had. But where this TV excels over every other HDTV ever made is in it's unrivaled ability to make mediocre source material like Standard Def (SD) broadcasts or even VCR tapes look excellent. As anyone with a non-Pioneer HDTV probably knows from their own experience, watching SD material on other HDTVs can be a painful experience, images are often soft, fuzzy and lacking detail. The picture quality of this TV while showing low def material is so good, that I never bothered getting HD satelite service for it because I couldn't justify spending the extra money when the picture quality for SD was good. Having said that, this TV does shine even more when showing HD material. I have a BLU RAY player and the picture quality is out of this world. I know that the world is obsessed with flat panel TVs these days, but truthfully this TV has better picture quality than any Plasma, LCD or DLP set because it can produce deeper black levels and doesn't have pixels so there's no pixelation of images, no motion blur, and no possibility of burned out pixels. The TV is in perfect working order, never had to have any service calls. I am the original owner and have taken excellent care of this TV. I've only ever cleaned it with a soft cotten cloth, no paper or harsh chemicals, we had other TVs as well so this one was only used sparingly and I've never turned the contrast up past 0 (which is the halfway level). All inputs on TV work, convergence is calibrated, comes with original owners manual and remote control. Original retail price was over $4000 plus tax, I'm asking $900 or best offer. Please don't be discouraged by the asking price if you can't afford it, simply make the best offer you can afford and I'll sell to the person who submits the best offer. Also, if you're interested, please don't hesitate to make an offer asap b/c I'm leaving town very soon and really need to sell asap. If it hasn't sold TODAY I will most likely have to pay to relocate it elsewhere and I'll be much less flexible about the price after that so if you want the best deal make your offer now. Due to size of item, I'm offering for local pickup only in the Greater Columbus, OH area only. Will not ship so please don't ask to. Payment by cash only. No other methods of payment will be accepted, any offers to pay by other methods will be ignored. If you're interested, please contact me via email, I rarely check my motl messages.
