Topic: Deck help/construction forum icons

At times I check out the Deck help/construction forum to see what people are posting about new decks and new ideas. One thing I noticed is the icons that are present to let people know what format their deck is made for(vintage, type 2 ect). Now I know this is not a big deal, but I would like to see some updated icons for this. We still have "1.5" which is now Legacy. Type 2 is Standard, Vintage... well you get the idea. Also, I would like to see an icon for "casual" decks(which honestly is alot of decks posted in the forum). I can't tell you the amount of times I got to look at a deck marked Type 1 and find a totally casual deck there. I know people are still going to put stuff in the wrong forum, but it may help a bit and it shouldn't be to hard to do.Anyway, my sugestion is to update the icons. V - vintage
L - legacy
E - extended
S - standard
BC - block

I do agree that the icons need to be updated, but I don't completely agree with your suggestion. I think using numbers instead of letters on the icons is great because it makes things less confusing for people who either call the formats by different names, or don't want to remember which letters go with which formats. Using "T1" or "1" instead of "Vintage" or "V" just gives it a bit more of a universal appeal IMO.I do think, however, that we should change the "E" for Extended to "1.X". I also agree VERY strongly with the idea to have a "C" option for Casual. I think this would cover a lot of the other random categories such as 5 color and peasant that really have no other place, and I too find it annoying to click on a "T1" deck and find a casual one instead.
