When you run a search, let's say for example on the word "poopsock", you get a list of the threads in which the word "poopsock" has been used. You then have to go through page by page to find this usage. In something like a PFS, this can be 12-13 pages. Would it be possible for instead when you run a search and click on the results, it take you to the specific post, or at the very least, page of the thread?

I think that be pretty cool idea since I've run into the same problem before. Buuut... think the problem would start by how many people would have quoted something with "poopsock" in it (for the example you used) or if it ends up in someone's signature. Perhaps give a time, date, specific forum search instead of having to go through ALL the forums or to put in a person's name that you think would have posted that? I think it be way taxing on the servers to try and get a fine pinpoint as to what you'd be specifically looking for and I'm not sure if a lot of people would use the new search if it ever came up.
