what are the current rules for a T/A's and auktions.all the ones i've been bidding in have almost turned out to be duds. no minimum, no end date, no guarentee that you can actually get the cards. they just go on and on, never ending, or just being withdrawn. just a big waste of time. i suggest making set rules: 1. all auktions must have an end date. 2. all auktions must have a minimum bid. 3. when minimum is bid, trade is set. 4. no changing minimum when bid has been made 5. no changing want's when bid has been made. there is still room to make special rules, like 40 % of bid must be made with cards from above the line. i've seen this work on other sites. thakn you for listening

sounds like you just need to start your own buy list and post the prices you want to spend and people will find you..

i just mean, what's the point in bidding on an auntion, when you can never be sure to get the cards.

The auctions on motl seem to be decent, but i do agree that their should be like a time limit. If the person posting the auction wants to redo or add things its done at his/her discretion. Another thing if the poster wants specific cards, then he could say bids must include one card from a specific list. One last thing suppose a card is put up and the poster by some disaster loses the card then how is he/she gonna honor the bid or buyout. __________________ collection madness: smurfs, penguins, d&d miniatures, stamps, hockey cards and unicorns

i guess the same way any trader does in an agreed upon trade.

I really agree with super, that auctions lack of accountability make them suck in the trade auction portion of our website. By placing cards and conditions up on the block you are making a contract to sell them at what the market will bear over a period of prespecified time. I also see a lot of room for a MOTL auction system to improve for cash auctions. Despite, our trade and sale areas being top on the net for Magic--those other areas could use improvement.
