It would be really nice to have the Trade Auctions & Sales forum divided into smaller parts. One for foil stuff, one for bulks/staples, one for heavier stuff like P9 etc. It's often very hard to find what you are looking for, since you have to go through a lot of threads to find it.Bad idea?

wouldn't that mean that if someone has a huge list and has cards in all subsections that they would have to make separate lists to fit the categories? Not bad of an idea but it might be kind of a pain so split them up, as buyers would have to check out the different sections as well to see other cards from the same seller.. I may just be going about this all wrong but that's what it looks like to me

If you're looking for something specific, you can always use the search feature. The T/A and Sales forum doesn't move all that fast. I'm not so sure dividing it up would really make things better. I've seen quite a few lists that would fit all 3 of your categories, so that would mean an additional 2 threads for them to keep up on, plus they'd lose out on the people who go in for one thing, then decide to pick up some other stuff that would now be on a different list, which they're much less likely to go browse. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. What I'm looking for is a normal sales forum and a "pimp" sales forum. It would make sense for sellers/buyers to have two lists, since most people only are looking for one type of cards (either pimp foils OR normal cards).

I think that's an incorrect assumption, personally. It also complicates things like people trying to sell collections that contain both...where do those go? What about that partially-foiled deck for sale? If I'm looking for a card to put into a deck I need right away, I now have to browse twice as many lists to find it, since I just need the card, and don't care if it's a foil or nonfoil version? It just seems unnecessary to me. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Trade them to me, please! Report rules violations.

I don't think that too many people would look for just one type of card over another. It would also be detrimental to the seller, IMO, who would not have the advantage of "impulse buy." I would much rather have a larger list to be searched through in the hopes that someone finds more than one thing, or thinks "neat, I need that" rather than just going for say foils and being done with it. If you were really concerned about separating foil from non-foil, perhaps a filter could be used with the search function, and there would either be a tag or command to search for what you wanted (if something like that would even work). I just don't see it as better for the seller to have their cards spread out over more than one list.

perhaps the trade auctions and sales could be seperated? may be a bit hard to do but seems like a good idea. __________________ your ubb survivor 10 champion!! I suggest a trade matcher system for it. It would just match the cards from your want list.EDIT: Of course, it would also pick up the cards from Credit and Buy lists... =/ __________________ "I command you, restore my ass to it's former glory!"

Well, they kind of are right now--the different icons (that nobody uses) are meant for that. I find it really irksome that so few people use the proper icons--how about cutting it to two: the auction hammer for trade auctions, and the money sign for sales/buylists?
As far as the original topic is concerned, I'm not sure that it's worth the trouble--not to mention that if people can't click on the right icon for their threads, we shouldn't expect them to be able to click on the right forum/sub-forum.

leave it at 3 symbols as it is but maybe offering karma smacks to the many people who continually use the wrong symbols may straighten this problem out as i know it really annoys me to go into a hammer icon only to find that it is just a sales list just a thought __________________ One bone broken for every twig snapped underfoot

I think that the default auction should be set to an icon of a dunce or donkey or some other one that shows that the user was too lazy/stupid/confused to select an appropriate icon.__________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. I'd be happy with the sales/auction forum looking like the trade area. Something like this:-------------------------------------------------- Beginning message Rules etc. __________________________________________________ Haves, or in this case: Whats up for auction Whats up for sale --------------------------------------------------- Wants effectively becomes: Payment method Amount What to bid with --------------------------------------------------- I want this because when I use the search bar for the cards I want that may be for sale/auction, it shows the ones for auction/sale AND the ones for credit. It's a pain to search, and then search the lists that have the card I want somewhere on them, only to find that it's what they take for credit, or vise versa. I don't think it would be hard at all to do this redesign. That's my thought.
