It serves no purpose, sees no use, and takes up space. let auctions go to ebay.

It doesn't take up space, and could be a great alternative to Ebay, considering that there aren't any fees involved. I'd much rather see a coordinated effort to get people using the board here than just removing it.__________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. I agree with nder, we should be encouraging people to use it more, instead of letting it go the way of the Articles Forum. Thanks, Jazaray

I think the auction board is a failure for the most part simply because, those that are here, and would use it, are cheapasses, if the seller actually has a clue what they're doing, their starting price is basically unappealing. Whats the point, when you can just set prices in the sales forum then?I think the fact that those who knows what they're doing in terms of selling, has already got it down in the sales forum.. and those who wants to do auctions, stick with ebay for good reason, and that being, the auction board here is beyond obsolete. © __________________

The problem with your reasoning is that it only applies to people with a ton of Ebay feedback that can get the top prices for their cards. For the rest of us, if the auction board here was active at all, it would be a much better deal because even if you do make a bit less on the cards (which is questionable, since we'd only be getting the low-end Ebay values anyway if we chose that route instead of the MOTL auction boards, and one would assume there would be an active market at that price for beginning bids given that things in T/A and Sales go for higher), you're still making more money by not having to fork over a chunk of your profits to Ebay. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. It's not as visible as the T/A & Sales forum - how about marking it as another forum in the list? Currently it's only available through the Site Navigation drop-down list on top. Also, the software is outdated, and not supported anymore (see http://www.everysoft.com/auction). It could use a better user interface as well. k.. disregard the minor reference to ebay I had.. what advantages does auction board have over sales forum? Sales, you set your price, and sell Auction, you set a starting price, which if it was your sell price, and you got it, that's it.. I doubt it'd be any higher, since everyone here selling seems to always want the max they can pinch outta their cards anyways. Sales, you can edit and update your list every so often, and keep the thread alive for months. Auction, seems to be limited to 2 wks, and you post what? individual cards, playsets, or lots? cant do the massive listings that a big sale with hundreds of items as currently in the sales forum. just seems like it's an unnecessary hassle. © __________________

If it was visible with the other forums I would def check it out daily. There really dosen't seem to be a drawback to putting it with teh other forums. Worst that can happen is ppl will continue to not use it

I never even knew this part of MOTL existed until about a week ago. due to it not being part of the Bulletin Board .
