I dont know if im blind, or retarded or something but...A login/signout button would be awesome Not a button but a link, or something, on the top of the page, easy to access. Cause now, the only way I know to login is to check my PM's. Which is kind a hassle. Im gonna shoot myself in the ear if im just that blind, but ive been on here for a couple years and i've seen nothing. Just thought id drop the suggestion Thanks for running such a great site though, keep it up guys.

You can log in through the PM's, or anywhere that you would need to log in (anytime you would post or edit) there is login information. Are you doing something otherwise that would require you to log in but you don't have a way to do so from that screen? As for logging out, Bolty has a link in his sig, but all it really takes is clearing out your browser's cookies. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Wouldnt it just be so much simpler for many people to just punch in the URL, Sign in, do their business, the hit index or home, and hit signout?I mean the site is great and all, but im sure many would agree, a Login/Sign Out option on the index page of the forums would be very convenient. Forgive me for my lack of knowledge about the scripting and coding behind a message board, but im assuming it would also be a very simple thing to implement.

But what's the point of signing out unless you have more than one account (which is against the rules)? Battle_of_Twits and I sometimes use the same computer to do some MOTL stuff, but we just pay attention and try to make sure we're posting under our handles.
edit: Also, if it's that big a deal for you, why don't you copy that particular part of BoltBait's signature and put it in your own? __________________ *MafiaBass*Joshweek*Letter Bombs!*Prices*Gatherer*Logout* You word murder your children

It might be of some use, but I'm still not sure what the real need is. You can already just go to the site, do what you need to, and if you do something that you need to log in for, the login stuff is right there ready for you. If you don't need it, it shouldn't matter, but if you do, it's already right there.
At home and my work computer, I stay logged in all the time, there's no need to ever sign out. When I'm somewhere else, I just log in if needed, and when I close out the browser, I'm effectively logged out because I don't set my preferences to save my login information. It would actually be an extra step for me to have a login screen on the main page. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. It gets annoying though.. I click out of motl a lot each day and every time I come back in it makes me re-login. There should atleast be an auto-login if the person wants. Most websites do that.

The point is, you go to the index, login, do everything and anything you need to do, return to index, logout. Pretty simple. Instead of coming to index, hitting private messages, logging in, returning to the index, then clicking around where you need to go. Then if you want to logout, say your on a public PC (like at school like I currently am) either you find someones signature to do so or clear cookies. Or if you havent logged in through private messages, you go to your post, punch in your information and rinse and repeat everytime. To me, and for some reason I may be the only person in the world who thinks this way, but it would be much more simplistic and easy to use. *shrug* I doubt anything would really change based off of this, nor do I mind to horribley much. Given my line of work and school, I use alot of public computers inbetween doing things so checking my MOTL H/W or anything of that nature has become a hassle. Making sure im logged in and logged out, successively and definitely.

I have always had that option on. It still signs me out every time I close the browser.

Have you clicked "Submit Preferences" yet? If not, it's not set. Although it's defaulted to show that it's on, it's actually off until you click the button. If you have clicked the button, then your browser probably isn't set to save cookies. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me.
