That's easier said than done. This site is very heavily-customized with the ref system and trade matcher and such. Any switch to a new type of forums is a major undertaking requiring a LOT of extra coding. Not to say that it can't be done, but it's definitely not a short-term project.

im a big fan of the look of this site, we dont need shiny things to attract people, i like the straight to the point look. ads are actually fine though as someone has to pay for the site.

I think a tight-knit community where people actually sort-of know each other and their individualities is far more special and gratifyingly successful than a huge ammount of new members who clutter things up and don't know or care about each other. Kind of like quality over quantity.

Why would we want double or triple the people here? So that they would just come and not assimilate to the MOTL way? So that people would flood into the site in droves and make MOTL a shell of what it is now? The sweetest fruits take longer to ripen.
