Suggestion for the future:
Having a way to download into RTF or TXT format all PMs in our inbox. A lot of other forums have this option. I think it'd be cool.

If you really want a response, I guess I can give you one.

To me it just reads "Leshrac, please do a lot of work so that people can keep misusing the PM system and continue to do it wrong."

It's been stated many times that the PM system is not appropriate for any communication that needs to be maintained, so spending time making a feature to download those PMs seems like a poor use of time, IMO. If it needs to be saved, email is your friend.

Was MOTL written from scratch? I was under the impression it used some forum template. If so, then adding a new feature such as PM downloads shouldn't be all that difficult.

Also keep in mind that PMs are not just for PMing about trades. I have some funny/pleasant PMs from 7 years ago that I lost in the recent shuffle, and I kinda wish I still had those somewhere to reread every once in awhile.

No, it wasn't written from scratch, but just because some forums have that type of feature available doesn't mean that the forums that MOTL was based off of have it.

Nothing's stopping you from copying them into another format if you want. I just don't see the need to spend time on a feature to make it slightly faster to do so.

What about a "Sent" folder?

I'm sure this must have been suggested before, but I don't see anything about it, and can't figure out why we wouldnt have that feature.

There is an outbox, you just have to turn it on in the Preferences menu.
