Okay nder, before you go off, hear me out.It occurs to me that the ref system isn't perfect, nor is the BTA/CBT system. It can be tedious to scan through the BTA board every time we want to trade, and since the average person is smart enough not to send a ref check to someone that they tried to pull a fast one on, things like not sending when they were sending first won't show up in ref checks.
So, what I propose is that, either in the profile or attached to a link under the person's name (right where their number of refs is, next to their post) there be a history of smacks a person received for bad trading practices. It doesn't have to be a full karma readout, just the date it happened and a few words about what happened (ie "11/09/2009: didn't send; was sending first"; "11/22/09: backed out of confirmed deal" etc). It would simplify the process of deciding who to trade with- past warnings could easily be compared with volume of refs to weigh risks.
