would be nice if searching for country/continent in the sales thread.

like searching for eurozone - to avoid tax/customs.

or search for US seller/buyer for those not into overseas shipping.

The biggest issue with this is that it would require a complete change to the location information. It might be possible with the redesign, but expecting 50,000+ people to actually go in and change their locations to something proper when the ability comes up is probably asking a bit much. Over time it would probably get better, but you could expect for the foreseeable future to have mixed results with such a search at best.

adding the option to search for it would be a great start.

and an incentive to fix ur location.

location could still be optional. im sure most eager sellers would fix this.

Google does a great job at geocoding seemingly terrible address input: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/

They allow 2,500 requests per day, which means you could attempt to geocode all 50,000 users' locations in less than a month without paying anything if you do it from a single IP address.

It's not zero work by any means, but if you decide to try it at some point Google's geocoder would be a good thing to try.
