Sometimes we have new members. They want to see if someone is on the up-and-up. Understandable. I think that we could make an 'inquiry' board, where a member just asks a moderator to check on another member before a trade is completed. I think that this may help against anyone who wants to pull a 'strickland' on motl, or help to assure new members that who they are trading with is an active member.

I guess I'm not sure of the need for anything special set up for this. I haven't ever heard of a mod ignoring someone that is looking for advice regarding a particular trader. If you're talking about a new forum for this, I think that might cause more problems than it solves, as some people would probably get their feelings hurt seeing someone questioning their integrity.

Good point about people getting offended. I just thought that it wasn't advertised very widely to 'ask a mod' to check on someone and new members may not do that.
