I don't think someone should have to put what price they are selling a card for when they don't want to. In many situations I have received more for my cards when I let someone else talk themselves into paying more- on the other hand, I have gotten a discount because a trader named a price that was lower than I thought I would have to pay.

The buyer doesn't have to agree to the price the seller is selling it for, yet the seller is locked into his price- even if a card went up over night. It screws the seller.
I think people should be allowed to say something like "I will sell my cards for 20% less than TCGPlayer mid" and not get belittled and essentially screamed at by the mods.

Haggling is a part of the game. If someone wants to pay the high price, I shouldn't have to post my bare minimum and get screwed out of the potential earnings.

If you don't do your homework to price a card properly, why is that our fault? If you don't keep up and notice that a card has gone up, isn't that your problem?

If prices aren't required, then it just turns into a giant bidding war, and that is specifically what we are trying to avoid.

Belitted and screamed at? Posting "Your cards need prices" or some variant is NEITHER of those things.

The rest of your post was answered by nder, and I quite agree with him. If you want to do a cash auction for your cards, use the auction board.

Thanks,
Jazaray

Jaz and Nder pretty much covered it, but I do want to add than you are not "locked in" to a price. If you list at $7 and it jumps up to $14 or ALREADY WAS $14, you don't HAVE to honor it. It's the sellers responsibility to list accurately but a sudden jump or a mistake is forgivable. Being honest and honoring a price is a noble, but what do you care if you want to try to sucker people out of an extra 15% because the buyer offered over your minimum?
No one screws the seller but themselves.

You don't have to post the bare minimum. You can list all your crappy cards at TCG high and see who buys, or makes an offer. Maybe you'll get lucky or maybe someone will offer above your minimum.

Do the work as a seller. You are trying to take shortcuts

These 2 statements tell me what kind of person you are and that you would use your "suggestion" to your benefit. Always. It also tells me that I should never ever look to make a deal/trade with you.
