Topic: Torpor Orb in legacy (combo)

Hey there, toying around with the Void/Helm combo and realized that torpor orb works randomly well with Lake of the Dead...4 Helm of Obedience
4 Leline of the Void
4 Torpor Orb
4 Phyrexian Dreadnought
4 Dark Ritual
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Duress
2 Drain Life
2 Diabolic Edict
3 Tombstalker
3 Mox Diamond
4 Lake of the Dead
4 Marsh Flats
4 Polluted Delta
10 Swamp Or something like that...
Any ideas? Tournament Viability?

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I don't believe torpor orb and lake of the dead interact with one another. Torpor orb only stop creatures from triggering, not land.

Hey you're not the only one. Believe me, I've had to learn how to read mid game shortly after purchasing playsets of cards and thats never any fun.As for the deck I can say much about legacy but the void/helm combo is nasty!

Definitely a fun two card combo... its expensive, but that is why I was hoping to make use of lake of the Dead... Perhaps with the Dreadnoughts I could add some other creatures and use Culling The Weak or something >.>

Yeah I have since dropped the torpor orb idea just because it doesn't work with Lake of the Dead, and nothing is quite as good as Dreadnought with it.I am going to try this tomorrow in a 5 round swiss: 3 Tombstalker

I really just tossed this together with little testing, so thoughts are welcome. I really like the idea of culling of the weak with bloodghast but couldn't really justify it

I'm almost positive that Hypnotic Specter isn't good enough in Legacy, I suggest changing that.I do like the concept of the deck, though. GL.
