I am trying to put together a semi-competitive (FNM level)
deck.

I would like it to use my favorite card Demigod of Revenge.

I really want to use the combination of Demigod of Revenge with Fauna Shaman's ability.

Ok so how much can I steal from the current Jund style deck?
What would you replace to get these 8 cards in there?
Any other cards that would work well?

Any imput would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Tim

You ever think of going more of a Grixis Control type. You loose Goyf but you have access to Forbidden Alchemy which can dig through your library faster. Also Faithless looting can help out with putting them into your graveyard.

Just some ideas, I dont play modern so I am not sure how it will work.

p.s. this also gives you the opportunity to use the Splinter Twin in the SB as a different win con.

You don't really want 4 Fauna Shaman. It doesn't work well with the rest of your deck. Its not even that powerful of a strategy to begin with, getting 3 Demigods in the yard via an activated ability will take you 4 turns and basically Stone Rain your own green source while you tap it each turn. Modern is fast, by the time you have a shaman on the table, it will either get killed, or while you waste time tossing demigod in the yard, they will just kill you.

It might be a fun deck for FNM though. You will need other strong dudes to hold down the fort and lots of strong removal like Bolt, Terminate, Maelstrom.

You're better off using Forbidden Alchemy, Liliana, Faithless Looting, Thirst for Knowledge, etc than Fauna Shaman. The Shaman/Demigod combo works fine in extended, but it's too slow for Modern especially when there's a better 2 drop in green. You also need to run BBE in Jund, and you want to cascade into Goyf, Blightning, Lightning Bolt, Pulse, etc., not Fauna Shaman.

If you want to run Demigod, go with Grixis.

i don't know if trying to put demigods in the yard then going nuts is that viable, but i think something like dragon stompy may be viable? like a mono red deck with seething song and such to power out demigod and other red boom booms at that cost, i think that would be the best use of demigod

there is the sweet griselbrand, goryo's vengeance, fury of the horde deck that seems sweet but it doesnt play demigod

1 Crumbling Necropolis
2 Steam Vents
2 Watery Grave
2 Blood Crypt
1 Island
3 Swamp
3 Mountain

Creatures-16
4 Demigod of Revenge
4 Reckless Wurm
4 Sedraxis Specter
4 Extractor Demon

Planeswalkers-3
3 Liliana of the Veil

Spells-18
4 Faithless Looting
