What legendary creature would be most thematically accurate for a:~G/W Enchantress deck with few creatures yet all the G/W 'hidden' and 'opal' enchantments from Urza's Saga block? ~G/W deck where most creatures either have regeneration, persist or undying and the deck has Cauldron of Souls, Dauntless Escort and Loxodon Hierarch for the ones that do not have the abilities above. Cheers for the advice! ~keywacat If you are unfamiliar with commander please look here: http://mtgcommander.net/rules.php before posting to see what's it about and get started on your own deck for it. __________________ "Trade to trade, not to keep" -Suq'Ata motto

Can you provide a list of the 99 to help me see what we're looking at here? Your goals seem to be unfocused, so I'd like a better understanding of your deck.

For the perist/undying/regeneration deck I'd go with Saffi Eriksdottrquote: Saffi Eriksdotter GW(2) Legendary Creature — Human Scout (2/2) Sacrifice Saffi Eriksdotter: When target creature is put into your graveyard from the battlefield this turn, return that card to the battlefield.
She's cheap, you have lots of ways to make you okay with her going to the bin on sacrifice instead of having to pay increased commander costs, she's another way to protect your creatures that lack undying/persist, and you can use her on undying/persist creatures who die with their counters on, to bring them back with no counters to restart their life cycle. For the enchantress-style deck, if you're insisting it be Green/White and ONLY Green/White, honestly, I'd just go with Sigarda quote: Sigarda, Host of Herons 2GWW(5) Legendary Creature — Angel (5/5) Flying, hexproof Spells and abilities your opponents control can't cause you to sacrifice permanents.
None of the G/W legendary creatures are especially worthwhile regarding enchantments. Sigarda at least, with flying and hexproof, is someone you can enchant up and swing with and have a reasonable chance of getting damage through, and the sacrifice prevention is handy in general. Or, for largely the same reasons as Sigarda, you might consider Krond, The Dawn-Clad quote: Krond the Dawn-Clad GGGWWW(6) Legendary Creature — Archon (6/6) Flying, vigilance Whenever Krond the Dawn-Clad attacks, if it's enchanted, exile target permanent.

This is what I'm looking at for the enchantress deck: Creatures (10) Academy Rector Argothian Enchantress Auramancer Femeref Enchantress Mesa Enchantress Monk Idealist Soul Sculptor Sun Titan Verduran Enchantress Yavimaya Enchantress Legendary Creatures (2) Kataki, War’s Wage Krond the Dawn-Clad Instants (3) Disenchant Naturalize Worldly Tutor Sorceries (5) Austere Command Creeping Corrosion Gaea’s Blessing Idyllic Tutor Replenish Enchantments (43) Abundance Angelic Destiny Armadillo Cloak Aura of Silence Cage of Hands Cessation Compost Eldrazi Conscription Enchantress’s Presence Exploration Forced Worship Ghostly Prison Hidden Gibbons Hidden Guerrillas Hidden Herd Hidden Predators Hidden Stag Hoofprints of the Stag Karmic Justice Khalni Heart Expedition Leyline of Sanctity Luminarch Ascension Mana Reflection Mirari’s Wake Molting Skin Oblivion Ring Opal Acrolith Opal Archangel Opal Caryatid Opal Gargoyle Opal Guardian Opal Titan Primal Order Privileged Position Rancor Runed Halo Sacred Mesa Shield of the Oversoul Sigil of the Empty Throne Soul Snare Solitary Confinement Sterling Grove Story Circle Basic Lands (30) 15 Forests 15 Plains Lands (6) Krosan Verge Strip Mine Sunpetal Grove Temple Garden Thawing Glaciers Wooded Bastion Legendary Lands (1) Serra’s Sanctum Possibilities: Krosan Reclamation (!) Primal Command (!) Wave of Reckoning (!) Wheel of Sun and Moon (! / better than Gaea's Blessing for me?) And I suppose Krond makes more sense than Sigarda thematically. edit: Solitary Confinement!

Sigarda would be the more powerful choice for this deck. The only thing she dies to are board sweeps, and she's a ridiculously fast clock when you enchant her.One concern I have is that you only have 9 creatures. I'd want to at least double that number, or decks with a lot of spot removal or countermagic will just run you over. Also, Compost seems a bit narrow. Still mulling over this list, but I don't know if we want a card that's just dead in a lot of matchups. Acouple of the Hidden creatures seem like dead cards some percentage of the time as well; though I do like about half of them. Leyline of Sanctity is probably another card that I'd probably cut. It does some serious work when it's relevant, but it's another dead card in your hand when it isn't. I don't like having cards in my commander decks that aren't live in almost every game.

He has like, 14 more creatures. They just don't enter the battlefield as creatures.

I remembered Solitary Confinement and Enchantress's Presence. quote: Originally posted by Devonin: He has like, 14 more creatures. They just don't enter the battlefield as creatures.
You guys are seeing the token generators, yeah?

Yes, but I figured I could respond to his objection with the obvious counter of "He said even in the description that he added in all the opal and hidden stuff"

I see the token generators, but I just don't like most of the opal creatures. A bunch of 2/2 and 3/3 for 3 seems too slow, and half of the hidden creatures are never going to become creatures. These effects are great if you're drawing cards off of them, but you only have about a 6% chance (did I miss one?) to get one of these cards in your hand. Also - why aren't you playing Sphere of Safety? It costs a lot, but they won't be able to pay enough to attack you. It just occurred to me that my point of view might be bad on the hidden creatures though, since I only play this format 1v1; and these probably are dead a lot less often in multiplayer.

Ciao PantySausage;I appreciate your comments, and yeah, multi-player is different than 1v1. You may have noticed I don't have Hidden Ancients, that's the only one I cannot count on triggering with the group I normally play. Everything else, instants, artifacts, non-basics, all those hidden creatures will reveal themselves. I didn't know about Sphere of Safety, I've been trying to ignore everything after Avacyn Restored in order to concentrate on the ideas I have and not go chasing everything new and shiny. Still, cheers for that, that is definitely going in the deck. ... Soon as I find a foil one.

Slight addition to the mana base perhaps, Brushland? Or even Elfhame Palace?__________________ /Thunder in the wind/No rain/Peace mourns its passing/"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss

I normally default to 37 lands in my EDH decks, the only one with more is Kaalia as she has a Mox Diamond and the only one with less is Talrand, as he has a very, very low mana curve. Are you suggesting I add a land or replace one? Elfhame Palace is very pretty though I am trying to cut down on 'comes into play tapped' lands. The Brushland I could cut a plains out for, though I don't think I'd need it. Thoughts? edit: 'possibilities' cards now includes Titania's Song and Nevermore. I think Nevermore could be quite handy, as every EDH deck has at least one card I can name rather easily...

I'm not very experienced in the EDH format, but I would always try and use more fixing. Brushland is great early game but pretty much useless late game, and Palace's drawback lasts only one turn. I suppose it doesn't change that much if you're playing 15 of each basic.Opalescence?
