- Playing Modern for fun - Just a collection of cards close enough to being coherent - Just want it to be good enough to hold some games down - Choices also based on availability, so expensive suggestions probably not happening - Things i enjoy: a lot of options for attack and hosers, tutors, playing solidly even if playing slow, mainboard hosers, cards with multiple effects, fringe playables, more creatures than spellsCreatures (17): 4x Tarmogoyf 3x Dark Confidant 4x Burning-Tree Shaman 2x Kitchen Finks 1x Olivia Voldaren 1x Thrun, the Last Troll 1x Anathemancer 1x Fulminator Mage Instants and Sorceries (17): 4x Lightning Bolt 4x Lightning Helix 1x Abrupt Decay 3x Thoughtseize 2x Blightning 2x Inquisition of Kozilek 1x Maelstrom Pulse Planeswalkers (3): 3x Liliana of the Veil[/b] Lands (23): 2x Scalding Tarn 4x Marsh Flats 1x Verdant Catacombs 1x Arid Mesa 1x Misty Rainforest 2x Blood Crypt 2x Overgrown Tomb 1x Stomping Ground 1x Sacred Foundry 1x Godless Shrine 1x Temple Garden 2x Raging Ravine 1x Swamp 1x Mountain 1x Forest Alternate Choices: Birds of Paradise Dryad Militant Kataki, War's Wage Loxodon Smiter Qasali Pridemage Voice of Resurgence Scavenging Ooze Lingering Souls Boros Charm Sideboard Options: Grafdigger's Cage, Pithing Needle, Torpor Orb, Rest in peace, Stony Silence, Ancient Grudge, Surgical Extraction, Sowing Salt, Slaughter Games, etc Is this even close to playable? Varied removal suite, mindrange creatures that suit the slower play style, beatdowns with Tarms, Thrun, Olivia. I would like to tweak this to run more efficient spells, and less of them, put more focus into an actual plan for late game.

Your deck is confused, it doesn't know if it supposed to be Zoo or Junk. I suggest you do a little research the difference between the 2.

I also know that too.But it is sad to HAVE to play some mainstream netdeck. I already said i want to play my own thing. Where's your creativity? It's just some midrangey good stuff. I like decks like Zoo/5c Tribal Zoo, Naya Aggro, Junk, and Jund. But i want to play this for fun, and tighten it up a bit be decent.

This deck wants Knight of the Reliquary. So many things you can do with her: mana fixing, 1 turn mana accel, tutor a utility land, or just beat your opponent to death. Also, Liliana + Lingering Souls is very good.I also dislike playing mainstream decks; there's no creativity to it. I'm currently running an Obliterator-Rock mess. Here's the list if it gives you any ideas: Land - 24 3x Overgrown Tomb 3x Godless Shrine 1x Temple Garden 4x Verdant Catacombs 3x Marsh Flats 2x Woodland Cemetery 1x Isolated Chapel 1x Stirring Wildwood 1x Vault of the Archangel 1x Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth 1x Ghost Quarter 1x Forest 1x Swamp 1x Plains Creatures - 15 4x Dark Confidant 4x Tarmogoyf 3x Knight of the Reliquary 4x Phyrexian Obliterator Other Spells - 21 3x Inquisition of Kozilek 2x Thoughtseize 4x Path to Exile 3x Abrupt Decay 2x Maelstrom Pulse 3x Lingering Souls 4x Liliana of the Veil Sideboard 4x Chalice of the Void (you'd be surprised how many decks struggle with this set at 1) 2x Creeping Corrosion 3x Extirpate 4x Rest in Peace 2x Thoughtseize It's not the best deck, but it's pretty solid, and I'd wager I have more fun playing it than I do some of the more mainstream decks. The only thing I really struggle against is Pod, but then, almost everything struggles against Pod.

Yea, i wanted to put Lingering Souls in there, excellent card. I enjoy Blightning but was thinking of replacing that with something else first.Knight of the Reliquary is a great card, can't deny her fixing capabilities, but i don't have that many plains and forests
