I just got an e-mail from Guy Coulson, who is the manager for John Avon, to tell me John is now going to start sighning cards through the mail but will be charging. Here is a coppy of the attachment, they will be posting this on www.johnavon.com soon.
quote: E-mail from Guy Coulson: (Edited to fit) Arrangements for card signingJohn receives repeated requests for card signing and would like to do them for everyone but time and logistics require us to manage this flow by requesting a small fee for signing cards. In an acknowledgement that most people will want quite a few cards signed it is considerably cheaper to send a number of cards. Number of cards/ Cost per card 1-5/ $1 6-30/ $0.50 30-100/ $0.33 100-200/ $0.25 Card alterations John can also alter cards with a drawing of his choice (or doodle on the back of an artist proof). Price for an alteration or doodle is $5. If you want John to draw something very specific for you (within the limitations of a line drawing and John’s judgement) this becomes a commission and is $15. Postage We don’t recommend you send your most valuable cards as we are unable to guarantee their safety in the post. However we can offer a number of postage options; 1. You enclose your own stamped addressed envelope 2. We will repack and send anywhere in the world; # of cards/ Post to UK/ Post to EU/ Rest of the world 1-5/ £1/ €2/ $3 6-30/ £2/ €4/ $6 31-100/ £3/ €6/ $12 100-200/ £4/ €10/ $15 Signed postage service 1-200/ £5/ €15/ $20 Airsure(delivery confirmation) Please email If you want John to sign more than 200 cards please email me! guy@johnavon.com Payment Payment can be made in two ways; 1. By including the required number of dollars with your cards when posting to us. 2. By posting your cards to us with a note advising you will pay by Paypal (recommended). We will advise you of their receipt and as soon as we receive your Paypal payment we will return the signed card to you. All cards received will be signed and put back in the post within two weeks, so you should expect to receive them back around 2-3 weeks after you send them. Postal address for cards is; Guy Coulson 16 Foundry Street Brighton England BN1 4AT If you require any clarifications or have special requests then please email guy@johnavon.com

Make that 150 that went out today. He also lowered his pricing, the more you send the cheaper it gets.

Bad idea (the pricing not you sending 150) My first batch (129 Rav-ARB) should be there today... __________________ Collecting signed cards. PM me...Total signed cards: 25'166 my stuff

I have to agree, I don't think this is gonna last. One of two things will happen: 1. He gets so many requests he ups the prices. 2. He gets so many requests he quits accepting them. I'd advise anyone on the fence about doing this do it quickly.

I haven't heard back from Mike when i emailed him, and he doesn't appear to be active on any sites he belongs to. If you ever have luck i would appreciate a PM to update me because i need a signed Drana badly :s Edit: And not sure what you are after but he does have some magic art for sale on his website. I'm sure business transactions would be more appealing to reply to at least Nothing Drana related though....

Like I believe I posted a few weeks ago, I think he's having personal problems right now. I can't be sure so I don't wanna air his buisness out here. As for signing, I'd say no atm. Markus and myself have cards that were sent to him months ago still mia.
