Going to my first Booster draft since Shards block.
I was going to use this program to practice. What is the standard pack order?
Is it Scars/MBS/Scars?
Also if anyone who would be willing to give me some hints on best decks to try to build or cards to target I would really appreciate it! Feel free to pm or email.

I'm pretty sure the order wizards is using is MBS/SOM/SOM, however if you are *going* to a draft, I assume it is IRL, so talk to the tourney organizer, some ppl do it differently. I think its mainly B/G Infect vs White/Something metalcraft. Good Luck

btw, NPH has been ready to draft for a day now.

Lemme know if this isn't an appropriate post...I figured some ppl would be interested.

I've been thinking about giving the bots personalities so that you can't so consistently get 7x of anything. I know a lot of ppl have different big picture strategies/tendencies going into a draft. Any ideas on bot personalities? I'm worried about adding too much noise though also. Is 7x, 6x, 5x in one deck unrealistic? I think so.

Yes. Yes it is ;P

On another note, I didn't see a single Tezzeret's Gambit, Dispatch and/or Mental Misstep but got several times 2 lands in the same booster. Thought you would like to know

If you got 2 lands in one pack, the last card was probably a foil land.

Its still having problems...all the good cards have a rating approaching 1 (many of which happen to be rare). Its because I have it only averaging humans' picks. I think I have to either have it use bot picks in the pick rating or devise a way to take into account how many times humans have passed on a card.

I have a question about the "average pick" info you get when you hover over a card. Is this calculated based on every time a pack from this set with that card is opened, or does it take into account which packs you are drafting and which pack you are on?

For example, rage extractor can be amazing in triple NPH draft, but isn't great if you're doing NPH/MBS/SOM.

The average pick ratings do not take into account which packs are currently being drafted. Its done on a per-card basis.

I'm still tweaking the AI (which heavily effects the average ratings), although I hadn't thought of bringing this into the mix. I'm not sure how I would even attempt to take that into account, display it, and track those numbers. Its an interesting point, but for now I think changing the back-end to handle this would be difficult. Also, communicating to users what I would be talking about if I put those numbers up may be difficult. I'll note this idea tho for future considerations.

I tried it, drafted a horrid Blue white deck.

At least it gives me a better idea of what's going on in Innistrad.

I think a Blue/White Tempo deck with alot of flying can be drafted.

Removal seems sparse though.

I opened 36 packs and got all garbage so pretty accurate there haha.

Did you do the Double-Faced Cards right? Each pack has one Double-Faced and you could pull a Mythic Double-Faced and a normal mythic in one pack?

Anyway fun as always.

I hope to get a deck builder for the sealed deck simulator soon. I think I have the DFCs implemented correctly...one per pack...w/ rarity accounted for.
