Hello, I made a new, free Magic Draft Simulator because I felt that the other simulators could be seriously improved upon. It shows your previous picks graphically in a similar manner to MTGO as well as providing a sealed deck simulator. Check it out at MagicDraftSim.com .Thanks P.S. I hope this doesn't come across as spam...I hate spam, and all my IRL magic friends have loved the site so far, so I figured you guys would too.

Nice, nice, I like the sorting option.Though I like the % it gives you in the Bestiaire, as irrelevant as it is. So is the AI in this one any better than the current options online? How does your work?

I would also suggest if you could come up with some kind of rating system of how we ended up drafting, even though I know it's tough to really create one that "understands" the synergy of the deck.

I'm glad you guys like it The AI is somewhat of a work in progress...it starts with the average pick that everybody picks cards at...then modifies that number based on a number of factors, then chooses the highest rated card. I can't speak for how the other simulators' AI work, but I suspect they heavily weight the average pick order of other users much like my site does. The factors it takes into consideration are: Color of cards already taken, creature count of cards already taken, whether the mana curve of cards already taken is too high, whether a given card is splashable, even if it isn't in the top two colors and another small modifier for taking colorless spells early (to remain open color-wise). Each of these come into effect and vary in degree depending on how deep into the draft you are. Thanks for the suggestion of rating the player's final deck...I hadn't thought of that...I'll add it to my list of possible future enhancements...although like you said I think it will be difficult w/o the AI understanding text of course. Thanks again

it would be awesome if you allowed people to draft against each other. Kind of like online poker when once you get 8 people the draft starts. It would be fairly awesome.

There are already a couple sites that do this, but I found that actually getting a game of 8 ppl together is difficult and tedious with only a small extra benefit. Also, having advanced options like this might turn away a lot of ppl who just wanna do a quick draft simulation. Perhaps later down the road this could be implemented if we get lots of users.

I kinda wish I could at least play against the 7 other computers that drafted, so I could see how I would have done. I would love to implement Magic Online in web form...but I think at that point I would get a letter from a lawyer at Wizards :\

Could you make cardlists available per set (or drated set-combo) with the 'pick-rating' for each card? I might learn something about what cards are hot and try to figure out why. Keep it up!

Thank you, and Yes, that is definitely on my to-do list...look for it soon Also, thanks TimeBeing for the heads up on the iPad ...somehow I'm doubting the iPhone is capable of cutting the mustard on this one tho :\

its pretty cool, especially being able to sort like on MODO is amazing, However I am only able to draft ROE and M11, any other set gives me error page, is it just me or are those still incompleted?

Well, it actually works a bit on the iPhone so at least it'll give me something to do.Maybe not a huge priority since you may have been going for a MODO feel but any chance of moving the drafted cards to the bottom and the open pack to the top? It gets annoying having drafted so many cards of a particular color to scroll all the way down just to get to the pack and it might be easier to only scroll down to my picks if I need to reference what I've already got.

I'm glad to hear there is at least some functionality on the iPhone. As for the scrolling problem, I intend to significantly shrink the header on the draft page to cut down on all the scrolling. After that, I'll consider switching around the picks and draftable cards depending on how it goes...I thought that at first, but I felt that mimicing MTGO would make ppl more 'at home'. Thanks for the feedback

Are you referring to a cube draft, possibly user-created? That is yet another possibility, although that is gonna be a fairly advanced feature that I wouldn't hold out for soon, sorry. Thanks for the suggestion tho
