Topic: Mono-Green Spells

Hey, what are some good spells to destroy creatures for mono green? Well, really good ones anyways. Doesn't matter what set really, mostly care for EDH (or Modern). Can't think of much. Hate things like "plummet". I just got:Beast Within
All is Dust (though...expensive to cast)
Nevinyrral's Disk (delayed, but good) Thanks for ideas, my head can't recall anything...

Desert Twister.There's very few spells that do that. Most that flat out destroy are only flying creatures specifically. But otherwise you are fine just doing a search on a site for green color, contains the phrase "destroy target creature" or "destroy target permanent".

Normally, you just play bigger, better creatures that can block or overwhelm other players. Avenger of Zendikar is probably the best example.Of course, if you're willing to consider colorless spells, a lot of options open up for you. Spine of Ish Shah + Phyrexian Core (combo is functionally a desert twister)

Duplicant is pretty good...
Brittle Effigy
Terastadon to a certain extent.
Oblivion Stone
Just play flying carpet and a bunch of Plummet effects though, that's how to do it. Skeet shooting.

Deathtouch yes, First Strike no. First strike (and double strike) only matter in combat. They don't work for the Fight mechanic. __________________

I feel like this question is better posed in the "Post For Magic Stuff" thread, for a couple of reasons. First, this is Magic stuff, and that thread is aptly named. Second, MOTL has a general aversion to clogging subforums with threads like this, which is why the PfMS was created. Third, it's extremely easy to use Gatherer to fins these sorts of things out. In fact, I made this for you with relative ease. It's not perfect, obviously (e.g. it didn't call up All Is Dust), but it should be of great help to you.__________________
