Nderwife and I will be making the trip next weekend. May or may not have a couple of our local players make it, but hard to say since I'm fairly out of touch with them these days.Any other MOTLers going to show up? __________________

Working on putting together a carload to drive up. Its rough owning my truck since it doesn't comfortably seat 4 and 15MPG isn't good for 6 hour drives. I think I have someone lined up to drive... will find out Monday. If I have to drive myself and eat the extra costs, I might just do that. It does suck that gas prices suddenly jumped right before the GP tho.

Anyone going to this that can get me some of Tedins Artist proofs from the Antiquities,Legends and Dark sets would be awesome. He said he would be selling proofs there.

I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to play in the main event or not. I really hate sealed deck. If you get the nuts pool however...

Well, weather be damned, we're going to head up today and get ready. Haven't decided if I'll try a grinder tomorrow or not or if Nderwife will be playing at the GP, but I'm in for sure. Hope to see some of you there!__________________

weak. I'm not really feeling all that great, but I will still play magic. I got a cold helping a friend unload her moving truck a few days ago... was super cold out and of course I didn't bring a jacket. Go stupidity, lol.

the person who I conned into driving is going to be driving ~6hrs, why didn't you con someone into driving? Its way better this way. Also, my truck gets 15mpg and his is something like 40ish, so it'll be a bit nicer on the gas bill as well.

So apparently if we all follow the coughing, we'll have a MOTL meet-up, since we're all sick!Nderwife and I will be there around 11:30 to get in line for registration, then plan on joining a grinder. Once we're done there, we have other stuff to do and will be back for the main event tomorrow. __________________

I dont get in till 5 @ seatac.. and later still as my friend rented the car, and she'll be in a grinder.. I hope she does well.. luckily, i have a dance with dragons on the ipad.. i'll be in sometime tonight.. hopefully.. if not.. tmr.. © __________________

Well, today went less than stellar. Signed up for the main event, then played in 1 grinder. When the pools were done being passed, I had a Sorin and Geist of Saint Traft across from me, a Huntmaster of the Fells and Kessig Wolf Run to my right, and someone else in our group had a Huntmaster and Hellrider, and there was at least one more Sorin running around. My awesome pool with Rooftop Storm, Divine Reckoning and Lost in the Woods just somehow didn't stand up. Vault of the Archangel was my only playable bomb, Creeping Renaissance even made the final cut, and my Increasing Confusion wasn't supportable with my pool. Oh well, maybe I got my bad luck out of the way.  I'm a little bummed that the only handouts are sleeves, and more sleeves and a deck box for those that make day 2. If they're anything like the sleeves they gave us for the grinder, they're not even worth using. Considering the playmats from GP Portland were from the same TO, I expected something half decent. __________________

If you don't at least get close to Day 2 with that pool, I MAY facepalm. Either way, you come out pretty well value-wise.

Well, my chances just got worse. I'm already at 1-1 thanks to having 2 straight games of draw discard go thanks to mana screw. 4 swamps, no mountains one game, 1 swamp, 1 mountain in my opening hand and not seeing another land the whole next game. __________________

Ugh. 3-3-1 drop. Bad draws, bad plays bad luck. Oh well, it was fun! I did give spellslinging a try once and won a pack. Pulled a huntmaster, so I'm happy even if I did crash and burn with a day 2 deck.
