Amen to that. Why does every red creature these days have to be a Goblin?

We need more red slivers. And dwarves of any color (it's not like they really fit into red even though that's how they seem to have ben slotted).

Dwarves live in mountains, and are typically barbaric, and seem to be miners or smiths. Pretty red to me. And orcs aren't bad, but goblins have tribal support. Simply being a goblin as opposed to orc makes the card a bit more powerful and relevant. They could definitely use more tribal support in red though. Dragons, goblins? I don't even know anything else, really.

I think they should make a red snapcaster mage that does the same thing as the blue one.__________________ |My Angels~My P9 l""|"\__, |~~My #1 Angel~~l'_|'_|_|) |(@)(@)""***|(@)(@)**|(@)

Dwarves are almost as versatile as humans in classic "fantasy" terminology. And they aren't any more likely to be barbarians than humans. Goblins are impulsive so they fit red. Dwarves are really more like W/R or W in most of the "classic" dwarf roles.

I'm not familiar with any 'classic' dwarves who don't live in mountains, mining and forging crap. And from what i know they are pretty barbaric, in the sense they drink and swear and fight. White humans typically are pretty civilized, noble, heroic, devout sorts of types. It's not that they can't be other colors, but what kind of dwarf is white? Not a typical one. I suppose they could live in cities, and be knights or clerics or other crap. Idunno.

Snapcaster Mage is the next Dark Confidant. Bob was the first top-tier constructed staple invitational card. Snapcaster is the second. There may not be another for a long time. 1. No current WOTC plans for another invitational. 2. Even with an invitational, the next few cards probably won't be Bob/Snap level. quote: Originally posted by Lord Crovax: Red needs some good 1R 2/1 or 2/2 Hate bears *Nods*Someone on salvation proposed a card that had Flash and got bigger when a opponent drew cards....
Red creatures are so bad at the 2cc slot. I hope they don't wait until the next invitation card to print a good one. Because that literally may never happen

Based on recent spoilers, do you think Snapcaster will go up or down?

Snapcaster will be worth $500 and angels will sing its name every time you play it. You'd better buy as many as possible and keep them in a vault with thick steel walls.

Luckily, steel walls only cost 1 mana each. So you'll only need four. Depending on what kind of bodyguard you'll want to hire, though, it might run you as high as 5W, though I recommend the rhino for 3WG. Better splurge to protect your investment, because magic cards are just like stocks, bonds and debentures!

I'd say possibly up, when people stop drafting DKA/ISD/ISD and go 3x AVR or whatevery the acronym for the new set is.

Yeah, that's going to be the main factor. We haven't seen any instants or sorceries so far from the new set that really utilizes snappy, but his value has already been established. I expect him to steadily climb back towards 30 once we stop drafting ISD, and he wont drop again until he leaves standard. I also second the notion that snapcaster should have been red.

Red doesn't really interact with instants in the yard, only sorceries. So Snapcaster would be off-color in red.

If only it was 1998 and that was a valid card, and this was a valid argument. Oh...the good ole' days.

Lightning Bolt is very valid in Legacy, Moderd, and casual just because it's not standard legal doesn't mean it is not valid.
