In the right deck Snapcaster is WAYYYYYYYYYYY better than Bob. So whats your point?

Snapcaster gives you instant card advantage, while Bob you have to make it to your next turn.

If you need another determining factor Snapcaster is better bc it requires to play with Islands in your deck, and that by itself is broken.

I think even WotC admits it was a mistake to print Snapcaster. Just read Zac Hill's article from today.

Yeah, but apparently Signets, Remand, Force Spike, and others are all "too good" now, according to him. Somehow I doubt those spells will never be reprinted again.

The Wizards people were writing articles about how they would never revisit shadow even as Time Spiral was sitting, printed, in a warehouse somewhere.

With that said, I'm glad there's a realistic perspective in R&D when it comes to the power level of snappy in standard. The article is also very practical in terms of most likely impacts on standard and the older formats.

Personally, I'm very excited to see the possibility of force of will decks being forced to diversify a bit, since it adds more incentive to play combo, which in turn brings back the strength of mid-range legacy decks like Junk, Stax, and DnT.

Best post of the year.

Luckily, steel walls only cost 1 mana each. So you'll only need four. Depending on what kind of bodyguard you'll want to hire, though, it might run you as high as 5W, though I recommend the rhino for 3WG. Better splurge to protect your investment, because magic cards are just like stocks, bonds and debentures!

We need a ROFL smiley.

Edit: You could also get the 3WW bodyguard. He's a Veteran, after all.

Too old and too naked. He was a veteran in 1993, so he's probably in an old folk's home now battling his addiction to heroin. Rhinos don't do drugs.

Just saw this post. I play vintage so... ya... it's not valid. I suppose it's valid elsewhere, just not in my realm.
