How on earth does one figure out how to contact artist with little or no web presence, and either a common name or nickname? I'm thinking specifically 'jD'.Does the: Artist Name/Artist C/O Wizards of the Coast PO Box 707 Renton, WA 98057-0707 option ever pan out?

go to his homepage...John charges for sigs (because he gets swamped). There is a price table on. The prices are fair. His assistant/our contact is called Guy. Very nice guy (pun intented)

I'm not asking how to get a sig by him. I know how to do that. I'm wondering if he is fast and stuff like that.

Is Jeff Laubenstein hard to find and expensive? I'm trying to buy Urza's Legacy signed Delusions of Mediocrity, Goblin Medics, Martyr's Cause, and Miscalculation and the cheapest he is asking is $22 shipped for all of them cuz he said they were tough to get and cost him. I can understand he wants his money back he put into it but seems kinda high for me even though I really need these cards as I am going for the signed set. What do you guys think?

I'm a little confused by this - is Jeff trying to charge you $22? Are you trying to buy artist proofs? I know he was at GenCon this year, so some of his signed stuff should be hitting the market right about now. I've had him sign for me before, but the wait is looooonnngg... like 2 years long Nice guy though - really friendly. Take it easy, Jared

It depends on how much you want/need them.Sometime paying a little more than what they're worth is a necessary evil, but at least it saves you time and the trouble of having to track the artist down.

Spectrum 2 set for May 17, 18, and 19th. if half the magic artists are there this year it will again be worth my 11 hour drive.

It was 1000% worth my 2x flight delayed caused layovers (1 with me having to pay hotel). It was such a great time. I ended up buying a ton of non magic related art and met alot of artists I had never seen. I recommend very very much.

Different note; Is anyone going to Illuxcon 2012? I have like 30 cards I need signed from artists there. I would be more than happy to assist with hotel or admission bills to make this happen.
